He's way worse as a crit DPS than Orion so that's a moot comparison, Orion is a self buffing np so naturally his cards will do more for him than Richard.

As someone who has issues with Romulus because it's hard for his to ramp up with crits since he produces jack for star, Richard dumping as much as a Quick Servant with a BBB chain is hella cool.

I do not have Merlin, or CAstoria. But I do have Waver, Oberon, tamamo and a variety of other units that make up for the missing buffs.

It's not the regular Excalibur. It's one of Richard's two NPs : He was so obsessed with Arthur's legend that this NP allows him to replicate Excalibur with anything he considers as a weapon, yes, even things like random sticks. It's not as powerful as the real one, but it's pretty damn handy.
I like the servant and think he looks cool but his kit being crit focused with no defenses and only small damage buffs when not criting seems very boring to me and gameplay wise he is kinda lame.

Lobo np crit ramp up crawled so Richard's can run. Having almost ALL buff effect for 3 turns is just peak game design
Achilles is probably the best comparison after his np buff. They’re both AOE, can generate a ton of stars and have a crit ramp up effect on their np.
We've seen plenty crit ramping buffs since Lobo
Takasugi too but he's aoe quick
Caenis, Rider Caenis, Bhima and Achilles also have 50% crit up ramp, Takasugi has 30%

He looks like a slightly more consist, less damage version of super Orion but with some aoe capabilities
He is more similar to Takasugi, Achilles, Wu etc than Orion.
Their crit up buff is very similar.

Everyone is more consistent when you run them with Merlin, Koyanskaya and Nightingale. I doubt he’s as good as Orion in solo…
