Good Sunday Morning David! It's always a blessing to have true friends that aren't afraid to help. So, was it a biscuit or burger? Anyways, I see times that you have hogs jumping the traps and escaping. What if you add a solar hot wire around the top rail of the traps? Also, you could add pvc rollers that could stop them from escaping. Just a little modification that might help keep those jumpers grounded...
I was thinking very much along the same lines. Also when those especially well developed and talented boars escape they continue to spread their superior genes while the less agile ones not so much. And then the species keeps getting an ever increasing edge.
There are a lot of entertaining channels here on TH-cam. However, there are only a small amount that can continuously make people laugh right out loud. Thanks for both!

At first I really enjoyed watching your videos, having grown up on a farm in Kansas with 9 siblings. Thought you were a little corney but enjoyed the trapping and catching. Now, I’m more impressed with the man you are, how you love and incorporate the Lord in every aspect of your life. Your devotion and support to your family is beyond remarkable. Yet, you are sensitive and kind, going back to the video you were so sad remembering your mother’s birthday. I truly love the new look. I want to know what kind of camera you are using. It looks much closer to film than digital video does. I have never liked the digital look in modern movies, but whatever you are doing here is great. There is a big push in the movie industry, and camera manufacturers, such as Arri and RED, to get as close to the film-look as possible with digital cameras. David, if you see this post, please, please let me know. Thanks, and I love your channel. P.S. Your new look has a documentary feel to it, which makes it more interesting as far as I am concerned.

Been watching your videos for awhile now, had to look up where at in Mississippi you were in this video. We live in Florida but have deer camp just outside of McComb little further south on 55 and have started seeing more pigs than last few years. Hope to head over there in a couple weeks and build a C style trap and knock out a few before deer season. Keep up the great videos…

For that frozen windshield, but a gallon of winter windshield washer fluid and a quart spray bottle and a small squeegee. Apply the fluid, wipe it down and you'll be good to go in about 2 minutes. I keep a sprayer in the car for all the windows that need it.
Hey David Detroit Todd here, I was just watching one of your older shows and I was just wondering if the program that the county offers you free hunting for the 60 pigs, if you happen to be ill or whatever that year, can you gift it to a friend where he can use it? Just wondering that's all, one other thing how big of a portion of land are they talking about for that 60 pigs like a mile square mile or something like that.? Be good and keep on keepin on!
I guess us folks here in southeastern NC are spoiled. We raise pork here and I absolutely hate the taste of boar meat. Glad someone likes it. Hate to see it wasted. 😊
Texan here! I think it depends a lot on their size, what they’ve been eating, but also the speed of proceeding. I personally think wild pork is better than store bought pork.

A hack I have always used to scrape my windshield when I am missing an ice scraper is a bank card or credit card. Usually have one with me and works like a charm in a pinch.
David have you thought of using an electric fence to keep the jumpers in, one that is only energized once the trap is dropped maybe it would be turned on when the cable is released maybe help you not having to jump up and worry about losing hogs. This way the sections wouldn’t need the extra rail making them weigh more.

My advice is to use a credit card to scrape off the frost. Works pretty good.

keep a spray bottle of rubbing alcohol in yer winter car kit - that frost and ice will come right off
