My advice is to use a credit card to scrape off the frost. Works pretty good.

Good Sunday Morning David! It's always a blessing to have true friends that aren't afraid to help. So, was it a biscuit or burger? Anyways, I see times that you have hogs jumping the traps and escaping. What if you add a solar hot wire around the top rail of the traps? Also, you could add pvc rollers that could stop them from escaping. Just a little modification that might help keep those jumpers grounded...
I was thinking very much along the same lines.
Also when those especially well developed and talented boars escape they continue to spread their superior genes while the less agile ones not so much. And then the species keeps getting an ever increasing edge.
There are a lot of entertaining channels here on TH-cam. However, there are only a small amount that can continuously make people laugh right out loud. Thanks for both!

At first I really enjoyed watching your videos, having grown up on a farm in Kansas with 9 siblings. Thought you were a little corney but enjoyed the trapping and catching. Now, I’m more impressed with the man you are, how you love and incorporate the Lord in every aspect of your life. Your devotion and support to your family is beyond remarkable. Yet, you are sensitive and kind, going back to the video you were so sad remembering your mother’s birthday. Loved it when you quoted and showed the Bible verse of giving to Cesar the things….etc. You deserve only good things and I truly hope your life is filled with an abundance of blessing from God.

I truly love the new look. I want to know what kind of camera you are using. It looks much closer to film than digital video does. I have never liked the digital look in modern movies, but whatever you are doing here is great. There is a big push in the movie industry, and camera manufacturers, such as Arri and RED, to get as close to the film-look as possible with digital cameras. You are doing a great job. I am always amazed by the number of hogs you catch on the same property each year. Can you imagine how many hogs there would be if you weren't trapping them?

For that frozen windshield, but a gallon of winter windshield washer fluid and a quart spray bottle and a small squeegee. Apply the fluid, wipe it down and you'll be good to go in about 2 minutes. I keep a sprayer in the car for all the windows that need it.

David have you thought of using an electric fence to keep the jumpers in, one that is only energized once the trap is dropped maybe it would be turned on when the cable is released maybe help you not having to jump up and worry about losing hogs. This way the sections wouldn’t need the extra rail making them weigh more.

A hack I have always used to scrape my windshield when I am missing an ice scraper is a bank card or credit card. Usually have one with me and works like a charm in a pinch.

Hey David, I am a follower of your channel for over a year and I love it. I was raised in the country so I get it why you have to trap. Your personality is so cool and for the most part you keep it light and funny. I truly enjoy everything about this channel and so I would like to hear about the other side of trapping. What does it cost to do what you do? How are you paid? By the hog or by the day? How does it all work? I'm a 70 year old guy and I'm just curious
