Welcome to The Warning. 3 sisters from Mexico who have been playing as a band for 10 years now since they were children. They are seasoned veterans of live shows in their early 20s. I don't know why the algorithm didn't suggest this reaction yesterday when it was posted...usually their fans show up in the thousands to watch reactions to the sisters.

It’s your lucky day. You’ve been introduced to the best power trio on the planet. The rabbit hole with these ladies is immeasurably rewarding. You’ll be getting suggestions, oh yes you will, and absolutely any track of theirs is going to be a good one so I’ll stay out of it. Thanks, and welcome.

Daniela(Dany), 24, Paulina(Pau) 22, and Alejandra(Ale) 19. 3 sisters who started off on video game instruments, then moved on to the real thing. All 3 sing and play piano. Their 4th album is coming up next month.

A huge welcome from The Warning Army (TWA).
These 3 amazing sisters from Mexico will rock your socks off.
You sound like you are from the UK, where they have just done 6 shows in 7 days. B'ham, Leeds, Glasgow, Manchester, Cardiff and London.
Each show was sold out as the other 13 shows they performed around Europe.
Prague, Milan, Munich, Paris, and all the others sold out.
Do not worry though if you wish to see them live, they will be back in July, playing Nottingham, Liverpool, and Dublin.
These talented sisters are at their finest when they play live, and if you wish to see their latest live release, check out Hell you call a dream at the Pepsi centre cdmx.
For slightly older live performances, look no further than the Teatro Metropolitan theatre cdmx from August 2022. A superb concert featuring 22 songs all in professional quality video and audio and not a bad song in all their discography.
These ladies look young for a band that celebrated 10 years this year as a band because they are.
Tickets are still available for July's shows, so dive down the rabbit hole quickly to see if they merit your attendance as they will be gone soon.
These sisters will playing for the first time in Japan next month before doing many festivals and playing with mega stars such as Avril Lavigne, Evanescence. They are no strangers to the big time as they have already opened for The Foo Fighters, Muse, Guns and Roses to name a few.
Sorry for the long introduction. I hope you will go through their live concert at Teatro Metropolitan and react to their songs as they perform, doing one or two at a time. Thanks for your great reaction. 🤟

I know some Warning Army might come for me, but I'm not a fan of their studio versions. I watch the live shows on TH-cam all the time because they're great. The studio versions are too over-produced for my taste. There's a layer of compression over everything that really stifles the dynamics of the songs. It has nothing to do with the ladies or their songs... it's all about the production. Evolve for instance. This performance or at the Teatro, it's so powerful and energetic. Listen to it side by side and the studio version sounds lifeless. It doesn't let the girls' true talent shine through.

      @@jjwhalen2587 oh… no you didn't! 😁
      Kidding.
I think the studio versions are good.
… but not better than the live recordings.
Like you said… there is a compression like quality going on.
Or maybe it's their energy in live performances that makes the difference?
      Idk… but live is best.

Hello! Welcome to The Warning. I first saw you when I translated Filipino for you with Marcelito Pomoy’s Endless Love. The Warning are three sisters from Mexico. At that time at the MTV appearance, lead singer Daniela (23), drummer Paulina (21) and bassist Alejandra (18). This is a fairy tale in real life, when millions of people gave them support and encouragement when they were just 14, 12, and 9 years of age learning to play their instruments in their basement 10 years ago. Their growth as musicians fully documented with videos from then to today. I hope you take the journey to see their growth.

If you take a quick peek at their site (The Warning Rock Band) you will see the hugh volume of "stuff" you can explore. I would suggest, since you did this VMA piece, that you check out their VMA Aftermovie (where you will see the stage director annouce he's "a fan now" on a live mic) and get a sense of them as real people in real time and then you will have a clear understanding of why you will soon be flooded by their very supportive and very nice fan base. They have a great back story and a high and very open profile on line. Lots to explore and you can't go wrong with them... have fun.

I would suggest that their TH-cam channel would be better suited, it also has most of their discography and Documentaries on there, plus it’s much less likely to get hit by Copyright infringement restrictions than elsewhere. The other great resource is a TH-cam channel called Timberwolf what he knows about The Warning isn’t worth knowing! He also has some really great videos that are from Patreon nights with them, they’re really great!

The drummer, Paulina (Pau, like Pow) has a beautiful, strong voice and sings lead on some of their songs. I have so many "favorite" warning songs, but I think you would really enjoy "Dust to Dust" Live at Teatro Metropolitan CDMX 08/29/2022. Pau sings lead on that one, and Alejandra's bass playing really shines. They have no bad songs though (that is not an exaggeration).

this was such a huge and powerful exhibition they gave with the short time they were given... they performed two songs, *More* (done first) and this one, *Evolve* which is certainly a fan favorite... Pau (drums) came up with *Evolve* after watching a documentary about evolution and gene manipulation... this isn't the first time she has drawn inspiration from a TV show or movie, either...
i understand that MTV is still looking for their roof LOL
i'm quite proud and happy for DPA/TW for making these milestone appearances at two MTV functions, the MIAW in CDMX (back in Aug 2023) and the VMAs in NY&NJ (Extended Stage) (in Sep 2023)... three additional milestones for their VMA appearance are
    1) they are the first Mexican band to perform at the VMAs,
    2) they were invited to perform,
    3) they were not nominated for anything...
those speak volumes in a great and huge way! now add to that they have been doing this for 10 years... most of that was while independent...
i would also be remiss if i didn't mention that this performance was real unlike the other groups that also performed here... DPA/TW did both of their songs fully live and in one take each while the other performers lip synced and took all three allowed takes... the ""best"" of those takes was selected for airplay... DPA/TW were also the only ones to be announced on the main stage when it was time to present their performances...
watching Pau (drums) firing her *_"Scream of Evolution"_* toward the heavens releasing all of her frustrations and pain so she can *Evolve* and grow past them is always a treat 😜 she has described the scream she does in *Evolve* in similar fashion and she brings it for real each and every time they present this hard rocking power ballad in concert or live sessions...
Pau has also stated that playing here on this stage was a very _surreal moment_ ... she said the stage was very much like the stage in the game Rock Band... i can easily see that they might have felt as if they had been transported into the game... i'm sure they imagined similar when they were playing the game as children and just beginning to find their path in life pre-2012 or so... in Aug 2023 they celebrated their 10th Anniversary as a band... i can't wait to see what the future bring to them!
Fun Fact: Pau has three screams/yells that she does... the first, most well known, one in *Evolve* , one in *Z* , and the other in *Hunter* ...

If you were to go watch some of their very early videos when they were just starting out, you would know that these Mexican sisters were not yet little bilingual Catholic school girls when they first got into music at summer camps. Mom's a dentist. Dad's an engineer. He used to run a recording studio. They grew up listening to their parents' rock favorites and watching concerts on TV. The kids all learned classical piano first, then discovered Rock Band, the video game. Suddenly, they were choosing instruments. Dany started guitar lessons at eight. Pau started drum lessons at six. Ale started bass at seven, a few years later, as she's the youngest. Their first two albums were crowd funded and independently produced! Before watching any more of their music, I'd suggest you watch their two TEDx Talks on the University of Nevada channel, from way back in 2016 and 2017. Perhaps also watch The Warning: The Mexican Rock Stars Who Happen To Be Sisters [TIDAL Rising Documentary] on the TIDAL channel. Maybe watch Mayday in the Making, parts 1-6. As much as you like it now, if you know who they are, and where they come from, their music will make a lot more sense. These ladies are now 19, 22, and 24, and just finished a sold out tour, 19 dates in Europe and the UK. They're just back from Japan and a stint in L.A. for the launch of their new album, now in Europe and headed on to Canada, the USA, and other places this year. They already sold out a 10,000 seat arena in Mexico City for next February, and added another date there, due to demand. Their fourth album arrived June 28, and they performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live the night before. They’re on MTV Push during July. They are the real deal. They were a great cover band as LITTLE KIDS. But they don't need to do covers anymore. They are as good as, or better than the bands they covered! And in most cases, they are more fun to watch. Their superpowers are LIVE performance, music COMPOSITIONAL skills, LYRICAL depth, STAGE presence and charisma, and personal integrity.

      Great bio.
You got these crucial points spot on, I've been singing this song too for the 3 months I've followed them
      > But they don't need to do covers anymore.
Their Black List version of Enter Sandman is better than any Metallica version
      > They are as good as, or better than the bands they covered!
I should go through the list they have covered, and yes they are ....
      > And in most cases, they are more fun to watch.
... this being an important way they;re better bands that ride on easy laurels ...
      > Their superpowers ... personal integrity
... and from such wholesome young ladies. It's almost too good to possibly be true

After well over ten years as serious musicians, an experimental EP and three solid albums, with a fourth on the way, and hundreds of thousands of tour miles behind them, they are about to hit it big. These young ladies are awesome musicians, humble people, and committed to their craft like few other bands. They absolutely killed it at the VMAs. What's amazing is that they sound like Americans when they sing and talk, but English is their second language. They really haven't released any bad songs. All three albums and the new singles released from their fourth album are great. I bought their first three CDs and the fourth is on order. You can't go wrong reacting to anything from their LIVE concert at Teatro Metropolitan, Mexico City (CDMX), on 08/29/2022. If you want an endearing surprise, watch The Tidal *Rising* documentary about them, or their 2016 and 2017 TEDx Talks at University of Nevada.

I'm 74 now and I had finally given up and decided that rock was dead. THEN! About eight years ago I found The Warning and realized that rock hadn't died, it had just moved to Mexico. Since then, I've been like a proud grandparent watching them just get better and better. They've always written songs with meaningful lyrics, great hooks and intriguing musical twists. Their videos are truly great but their live performances are just next level. And then, seeing them live!!!! Holy crap. I saw them live in Toronto summer of 2023 and it was one of the greatest concerts I've been to, and at my age that's quite a few. The rest of The Warning Army (TWA) will fill you in with a flood of information.

Haven't seen you for ages. Welcome to one of the greatest bands I have ever seen in my 70+ years! Technicaly wonderful, lyrically intelligent, harmonies to die for, and just plain fun!!! Mexican. The drummer writes most of the songs ( on piano. They all are classically trained piano). Hard grungey rock to heart laments. Masters of irony!
    And best live...really best live...
Swifty you is gonna be carried to really fun music places with these women. I like reactors that look at the picture BEFORE they read the didactic!
Early in the basement stuff, mostly competant and amazing and cute ( Except Ale , the youngest one, who is just mindblowing, almost immediately, on the bass)
21Centuary Blood: Compared to later stuff some obviously simpler and more expected style work, but every song is one most song writers wished they could write. Early teens.
Queen of the Murder scene: Written when Pau ( Paulina/drummer/ main composer and band controller) was in her early to mid teens. Concept album that has no right to be this good as it is. Best performance is from Lunario, Mexico ( whole song set). Not as technically proficient instrument and vocal wise of later live performances , but...but...so much passion!!!! Dani's performance of Crimson Queen is heart wrenching. She leaves nothing missed in her delivery. This is my favourite album for the feeling they left nothing behind.
Error: Instrumentally and vocally the peak so far ( so far being important). What does one say... Every song gives you something you didn't realize you didn't have. My fav song on this album ( not an easy task to pic a fav) is actually a lament about being in love with someone that doesn't know you are or you shouldn't be. And another ballard/lament Revenant is incredible and if I heard Pau right in an interview, was written when she was...12... I may have misheard, so someone may correct me on that age. Nevermind, it is an absolute ripper. After that the rest of the album is a tour de force is fantastic.
The new stuff, has some of the best rock/punk/grunge sounds I have ever heard. It's like they said "There is the boundary of where we have got to. Let's see what's over the edge a bit." Still with their ironic twist.

The ladies were invited by MTV to perform this side stage performance done the Friday before the Tuesdays live awards event despite not being nominated for an award. They were also invited to walk the red carpet on Tuesday and did amazing there too. The audience was mostly comprised of fans there to see the other two performers Kaliii and Renee Rapp and had never heard of The Warning. I’m sure they know who they are now. The performers were all given 3 takes to perform their 2 songs along with a 40 second version of each to be played at the live event. The ladies showed their professionalism by nailing it the first time, after all live is their super power. The Warning released a behind the scenes look at their trip to NY and this performance and the MTV staff were blown away. One of the producers forgot to turn off his mic and was heard saying “Holy $h*t! I’m a fan!”, talking to Dany while they were leaving the stage. I’ve included the link to it as it shows how humble and down to earth these 3 are. th-cam.com/video/qRgOl_x_gqI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=WZ6ie_3gClI0yfAC
And if you like “I’m not in danger, I’m the danger”? How about “If Karma doesn’t hit then I will”. Check out Animosity Live at Teatro Metropolitan th-cam.com/video/K8VPX-diRl4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=glLnKN1MdNW2oEyb

It's great to see more people discovering this awesome band! I'd honestly struggle to recommend any specific one of their songs, just because they're _all_ so good! Their second studio album, _Queen of the Murder Scene,_ is a genuine masterpiece - it's a concept album, which tells the story of a young woman's descent into obsession and violent psychosis, and it's my favorite album of all time, by any artist!
(RE: 1:45) Pau - the drummer - also sings lead vocals on maybe a third of their songs. The songs where she sings lead either have the same bold, almost feral energy you saw from her here (e.g. Narcisista and Dust To Dust), or are heart-wrenching, emotional ballads (e.g. Show Me The Light, Revenant, and Breathe). There are also a few songs where Dany and Pau sing as a duet, trading lead vocal back and forth throughout the song (used to great effect in Sinister Smiles to depict the protagonist's aforementioned psychosis).

The moment I realized you were reacting to this specific performance of Evolve I was just "Yeah, you're in a for a treat". That thing Pau on drums does near the end before her scream is something she' done many times for this song and I love it every time. I remember a person in the crowd when they opened for Muse in, I want to say Glasgow said "She scares me" :) Now, take the way it felt seeing them live on video and amplify that and you've got the way it feels when you see them perform live and in person. There's a reason I've seen them many times in several countries and it's not just because I'm nuts :p
Yes, do go down that rabbit hole and watch them live, I promise you won't regret it, these three sisters from Monterrey, Mexico are amazing live!
As for suggestions, step into the time machine and go back to see how they've grown musically and performance wise over the years. Their earlier material is quite different musically but not as it pertains to the lyrics, those have always been great! I'd suggest a song with Pau (drummer) singing lead, maybe Dust to Dust, Narcisista or one of the slower ones like Black Holes (Don't Hold On) (that one's a rollercoaster of emotion for some people who know exactly what she's singing about) or Revenant if you can find it

    Great 1st-time The Warning reaction!!
The Villarreal-Velez sisters are amazing songwriters and performers from Mexico who live in Monterrey, San Pedro Garza Garcia, Nuevo Leon. Each one of their original songs is great. Their second album, "QUEEN OF THE MURDER SCENE", is a concept album. It follows a girl's journey into unrequited love; from infatuation and obsession on into stalking and murder, then madness and the fight over her soul. It is a masterpiece. It was nominated for Best Rock Album at the 2019 Independent Music Awards.
Their 1st full-length LP, "XXI CENTURY BLOOD", is also very good and is packed with many great songs. The video for the title track, "XXI Century Blood", was nominated for and won many awards.
Their very 1st released recordings are from their 6 song EP, "ESCAPE THE MIND"; and it is amazing.
Despite being courted by numerous offers from many major record labels, The Warning have stayed independent through the years; relying on crowd funding to finance their projects. They refused to give up creative control over their material ... down to even the clothes they wear on stage.
After 7 months of negotiations, The Warning signed a 5 album recording contract with Lava/Republic Records/Universal Music Group in the fall of 2020.
They decided to release 1/2 (6 songs) of their completed 3rd full-length album in an EP called "MAYDAY" October 8th, 2021. The entire album was released June 24th, 2022: called "ERROR". "Disciple" is my favorite track!
They are going to release their 4th studio album "KEEP ME FED" June 28th, 2024. And 5 singles off the new album have already been released: "MORE", "S!CK", "HELL YOU CALL A DREAM", "QUE` MA`S QUIERES", and recently "AUTOMATIC SUN".
The Warning do not come from a family of musicians, however, their parents are huge fans of classic rock.
Both parents are professionals (recording engineer and dentist) and they enrolled their daughters into a private Catholic English Bilingual school Liceo de Monterrey, Mexico.
They also started the girls with classical piano lessons at ages 6, 4 and 5 years old.
Regular family functions included gathering around the TV with popcorn and watching LIVE concert dvds of legendary bands like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Queen and AC/DC.
When their parents got them the video game Rock Band at ages 8, 6 and 3, they went nuts playing it obsessively. Shortly thereafter they got real instruments with lessons from professional teachers: and the rest is history. Amazing they are 24, 22 and 19 years old and have already written, arranged, and released #51 original songs (not including the remaining songs from the upcoming 4th studio album).
Drummer Paulina writes around 75% of The Warning's songs. Most of her songs begin in rock ballad form; starting with a concept, then chord progression, melody and basic song structure on the piano. She may only have a verse and a chorus when she brings it before her sisters. Together they transpose each instrument's part and "rockify" the song. They complete any lyrics, bridges and any arranging, etc. making changes along the way. A 2/3 approval vote of each instrument's part and each vocal harmony before it becomes a completed song. Paulina has said if not for her sisters, her songs would be different. Both guitarist Daniela and bassist Alejandra write equally great songs; just not as many.
Drummer Paulina recently won Drumeo's 2023 Rock Drummer of the Year and won Best Up and Coming Artist in Modern Drummer Magazine's recent reader's poll.
I was fortunate enough to get to meet them after their show January 16th, 2020 at The Whisky a Go-Go in Hollywood, California. I had the opportunity to meet with them 3 more times during the 10 shows I attended on their 2022 North American MAYDAY Tour and 2023 ERROR WORLD TOUR. I have talked with their parents on 2 occasions and have had many conversations with their manager Rudy.
Aside from their music, they are just normal, sweet, intelligent, and fun-loving young ladies who are truely grateful and endearing to their fans.
Thank you for sharing your TW discovery with us!

I've seen these ladies twice, and they put out this energy for an hour and a half. You mentioned how it is at one of their concerts, right now the most video is from the Teatro Metropolitan in CDMX from 2022. Professionally shot, and the theater holds right at 3,000. They sold it out twice. Recently, they announced a concert at the Auditorío Nacional in CDMX, a 9,500 capacity venue. They sold it out within hours, and have added a second date. They are on fire right now, having just completing their sold out headlining tour of Europe and the UK.

"I'd like to check out one of their live performances." Hope you're ready for this, because they are THAT GOOD with EVERY live performance! And the one you just watched was recorded live- no studio trickery, no autotune, etc. In fact, MTV gives the bands three goes at each song, then airs the best of the three- The Warning nailed both of their songs in ONE TAKE (The other song was 'More,' which I also recommend). I'd say they did pretty good with this audience, considering less than a half-dozen there even knew who they were before they played! They started off here on TH-cam as little kids, and those videos are still on their page- They went viral with their cover of 'Enter Sandman,' a video they did to send to their grandparents because the file was too big to send through the phone or email. I also recommend their live cover of 'Crazy Train,' again, as kids- that video shows the birth of Pau's "Scream of Destruction," when she was so little, you could barely see her head poking out above the drum kit! As we say, YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!

I loved your reaction. Similar to my feeling of shock and awe the first time that I heard them, last year. Now I'm obsessed and hoping to see them live for the first time this year. One of their super powers is live performances. If that's where you want to go, start with Hell You Call a Dream (HYCAD), live at the Pepsi Center in Mexico City. As others have already mentioned, you can't go wrong with any song from the Teatro Metropolitan concert in Mexico City, Aug of 2022. I'd suggest starting with Dust to Dust or 23. Keep on rocking and you've been warned!!

I've been following these girls for a couple years and as a musician of 74 I've been thrilled to see their progress toward professionals. By now they have toured on several continents. Their first iconic hit was a version of Enter Sandman which you would love. One excellent live tape is on their TH-cam show at Teatro Metropolitan last year in Mexico. Metallica liked it so much they put it on a recent album of their own. The drummer Paulina is a phenomenal talent who just won a Best Drummer award.

The Warning is a band that NEVER "phones it in" when it comes to their craft. You'll be hard-pressed to find a song or performance that doesn't meet your expectations. Yes, they really are THAT good! Anyone falling into The Warning rabbit hole is soooo grateful they did. Any member of TWA (The Warning Army), regardless if they are very young, a dinosaur like me, or any age in between, will gladly tell you that their first introduction to TW was a positive and enriching event that changed their perceptions about today's music.

Welcome to The Warning and their army. I would suggest Automatic Sun(studio version) shot live at the Tecate Pa’l Norte Festival for a feel of their audience. To watch them live, go to their Teatro Metropolitan CDMX concert in 2022. It was professionally shot so the crowd sound has been muted. I listened to a fan cam at this concert and the band couldn’t be heard, every single person there was singing every sing word to every single song!!!🤯😊⚡️

I, along with a likely majority of The Warnings Army (TWA), have met them in person at their meet & greets they do before most of their headlining shows.
    Yes, they are sisters.
They are amazing with their fans.
Dany is an absolute sweetheart and a goofball and is very outgoing.
Pau is intense and also very outgoing. She’s very opinionated and matter-of-fact and will tell you what she’s thinking…politely, unless you cross her. She’s the ultimate creative personality and loves to talk.
Ale is the semi-introvert. She usually doesn’t say much but when she speaks, people listen. She’s the perfectionist of the group and has metronome timing and has perfect pitch recognition.
Dany sings lead on a majority of songs and if you keep reacting you’ll understand why.
Pau has a beautiful, emotive voice and sings lead and backup from behind her kit.
Ale doesn’t search out the spotlight and normally sings backing vocals but will step up and sing lead occasionally on a song or two if Dany needs a break and she also has a beautiful, sultry voice.
TWA will fill you in on their biography, I just wanted to give a brief description of their personalities so you can see for yourself if you react to more songs.
If you enjoy them I’d suggest to check out their BTS stuff on your own time to really get a feel for amazing they are as people not just musicians and performers.

Great reaction! Wonderful that you like these young sisters (which it seems you didn't know they were when you watched). The Warning have a way of bringing a modern approach to familiar sounds, blending classic rock, hard rock, grunge and pop and turning it into something fresh and unique. You will get tons of info in the comments about these ladies. I definitely recommend continuing to watch them live as their energy and charisma totally jumps off the screen. They are releasing a new album next month. As far as new tunes to react to, for some punky vibes, I would suggest the official music video of "S!ck" which is currently climbing the charts. For a sheer vocal showcase, I would recommend "Hell You Call a Dream" from the Pepsi Center as a good follow-up. And “Automatic Sun” (more hard rock/grunge), really shows a different side. Hope to see more of The Warning on your channel soon!
