Saif, I would really love for you to do an episode on a nuclear energy and why we are no longer building nuclear reactors and using nuclear as a primary source of energy creation. It would be interesting to learn about the underlying political reasons and economic reasons behind why we stopped pursuing this.

I am from Lebanon, and currently anyone who is familiar to the country, and I am certain Mr. Saif al deen knows the struggle within the country. People in the Western countries don't think about electricity, they don't consider it an obstacle or daily issue. Simply they probably don't feel its existence at all. However the reality in Lebanon is quite different, and electricity seldom do we receive it. Currently within the political and economic turmoil, four hours a day is a blessing, while we depend on alternative electric generators owned by independent private sources, they are not enough, due to limited power supply, and high prices due to inflation which is ascending to newer elevations each month. And each owner of a generator cuts off the supplement whenever he feels like it, primarily due to shortage of fuel, although some utilize it for their own benefit. Some people, especially in the countryside, are changing to solar panels, since it is more efficient, and the battery must be changed every 3 to 5 years, that is we limit our energy consumption in day time and shift it to night time.
I might sound like a boomer, but the socialists, SJWs, environmentalists... are ridiculously spoiled, and I find myself within the current situation blessed, since life might had been harsher if I were in the place of an infant in the african poor regions, or threatened by the criminal lunacy of the Latin american countries while living in shelters made of foil and wood...

Lebanon has always been a joke. That's why smart Lebanese all live outside Lebanon

Ellen White was the name of the lady from 7th Day Adventist. You took one aspect of what she said out of the context. She wrote much more about health eating habits which a lot of them was implemented and used for.more people and corporations. Ex. Beyond Meat company.

For God so loved the Earth that He spent 600 million years burying batteries underground so that premature babies wouldn't die.

Saif, you do not understand the problem with the grid , energy produced by a large source , by what ever means , fossil fuels , nuclear, solar, wind by long miles of transmission lines , to substations to convert to sub stations to be transmitted by distribution lines that gets it to your home to use. The problem is that the infrastructure is well past its useful life and we as a nation are very vulnerable to the run to fail mindset if utilities.
Behind the meter renewables when coupled to batteries is here now producing electricity for less per kWh than any other source. Plus the utility pays me a premium for me to share may battery kWh with them for times in high demand ( peak shaving)
The convergence of 3 distrupted technologies , converging all together is here and there is no stopping it , even the big oil ,shell , Mobil will fail.
Last try this , drive home in your fossil fuel car into your garage , close the door , leave your engine running , and call me in the morning if you can !!!
I will do the same with my EV , totally different result.
I am surprised you are not promoting whale oil , since we have whales left

Were those battery components in your car created from wind and fairy dust, or did they take immense fossil fuel energy to extract from the earth (not to mention the fossil fuels in the plastics), build, and transport? What about the electricity that powers your car, was it magically generated from hipsters on treadmills? What about the steel in the car? The tires? And literally EVERYTHING else required (materials + production) to make that vehicle - how much of these horrible fossil fuels are required to make your pretentious-mobile?
For that childishly naive thought experiment (fossil fuel car vs electric car in garage) to have any meaning whatsoever, you’d have to consider the fossil fuels required, not only to make the car, but also the fossil fuels required to charge it.

I almost never comment and I really appreciate Saif’s thoughts on Crypto and Fiat but the comments shared on sustainability and energy are totally wrong. I have worked in the energy industry for 15 years in all areas, fossil fuels, nuclear and renewables. If you pay attention.. he shares no facts or numbers to explain why renewables are not the future. In my view, renewable energy is a technology which will accelerate the development of many countries. It is cheaper than fossil fuels and the technology exista today to integrate them and power our needs. Saif.. let me know if you want a conversation on the facts and I can show you the truth.

Every technology starts at a high cost and becomes cheaper with advancement in technology. Even oil, gas, and combustion engines. Yet you give no credit for the ability of solar and batteries to decline in cost. Cringe. I honestly regret buying your book. It's honestly so bad. And this is coming from an avid bitcoin owner.

Of course, but these technologies have not achieved the cost savings required for them to replace fossil fuels. To replace fossil fuels at this stage is de-civilising.

Oil and gas are relatively more expensive than they have ever been so your theory is already false. Still waiting for solar panels to decline in cost since they’re only going up 💀☠️🤡

The original iPhone was $500 and the original Xbox was $300. New iPhones are $800-1000 and Xbox’s are $500 nowadays so I guess I’ll wait another 20 years for prices to decline and your fantasy theory to play out while you insult saif 🤡

    • @fanvalryinc6527
      @fanvalryinc6527 2 ปีที่แล้ว

@@se6586 Actually it is resource wise, cheaper and more efficient to make these devices. The increasing dollar prices is as a result of a depreciating currency not a higher opportunity cost production process.
