The original Honda C50, C70 and C90 were the most reliable and trustworthy motorcycles ever made. They ran year in year out, virtually without any maintenance being carried out by their often neglectful owners. Very easy and economic to work on and quite nice to ride, especially in snow blizzard's which were my personal favourites.
I had a few mates who worked as Relief Signalmen with British Rail in the 70s who used to have these little bikes they road them in all weathers hail rain and snow every day to and from work they never let them down , great bikes , I wish I'd have bought one then , but I'm still riding a big B M W , think I need one of these now just to knock about on easy living.
What is the point of a honda scooter without the dual seat? The ad used to be "you meet the nicest people on a Honda" and I certainly did. We covered a lot of distance together on the dual seat of her bike. I cannot imagine riding anywhere without having her with me and snuggled up against me.

I'd buy one if it wasn't so high up in the air. With my 25-26 inch inseam....my short legs aren't enough for most scooters/mopeds and motorcycles. You'd think being Japanese, they'd be willing to make a few things that fit folks like me. It's difficult buying shoes, and difficult buying transportation and fun too. The world downright punishes me for my height. Edit. And I don't even have dwarfism at barely 5'3 tall.
I owned a 1966 Honda 160 Dream Motorcycle. Bought it used, in the Summer of 1971. I bought it from an elderly man that I mowed his yard each week. One day while mowing, his garage door was open and there was the Honda. It did not start from the electric start, but did have a kick starter. The man, named "Dub", informed me this bike had belonged to his Son, but he out grew it and moved on to sports cars. He said he would sell it to me for $150.00. As soon as, I finished his yard, I pushed my mower home and discussed the bike with my Dad. He loaned me the money to buy the bike, and I spent the next 2 or 3 days washing, cleaning, and polishing everything on this bike. My Dad, and his friend, helped with changing the motor oil and adjusting the brakes, lubricating the cables, checking the air pressure, and checking the battery. We had to replace the battery, but that bike ran like new. It was really cool looking as well. Loved the swooped fenders. I rode this bike until, I too, grew out of it and into cars. Then in 1980, a guy traded even with me for a really nice 1972 Honda SL 350. I sure wish I still owned both of these bikes. The 350 had a LOT of compression, it was difficult to kick start sometimes. Always started but was a little tough on cold days.
@@scottouellette9411 I remember seeing that bike in Red when new. It was a real beautiful bike! I wish I owned one of those as well. However, the most comfortable Honda I have ever owned is a 1999 Honda Shadow Spirit 1100, which I still own. I bought it off my friend's wife, after he lost his life in a helicopter crash. He had bought the bike new and was killed 18 months later. It has less than 6000 miles on it now. She called me and asked if I wanted the bike and I told her I did if I could afford it. She asked $2500.00 for the bike and I bought it. Since I have owned it, I upgraded the seat to a nice Gel-Seat and I have new tires for it, just have not had them installed. The tires are original and have signs of dry rot. I also will be replacing the battery soon. Take care! :) I love old Hondas and going to bike shows where mostly guys have refurbished them to look like new.

What a beautiful little bike!!!
My first bike was a super cub with the rare factory sport kit which made it look like a proper motor bike
50cc
Reminds me of my 1976 Honda PC-50 moped which had a 4 stroke motor and I had added the lower leg fairing which gave it a similar look.
