According to 1 Corinthians 7:1-5, a husband should provide sexual satisfaction to his wife, and a wife should provide sexual satisfaction to her husband. A wife does not have authority over her own body, and a husband does not have authority over his own body. They belong to each other. Does this mean that a husband can force himself on his wife anytime he so desires? Definitely not. What the passage teaches is that each spouse is to willingly, freely, lovingly submit to the other. The passage is about giving satisfaction, not demanding it. The focus is on pleasing one’s spouse. There is no selfishness involved. Forcibly taking what has not been offered is wrong and plainly against the Bible’s commands on love and marriage. Hate to say it but this really explain for example why i moved out quick cause my parents are very lose with doors being that need to be. Not nice for me to say this, but the world might be a more sane and safer place if he did. I don't really want him to die, of course, but it would be nice if at the very least he stopped presenting himself as an expert in disciplines outside of his own scholarship. i.e. climatology, theology, nutrition, politics. He makes an issue out of everything that appears in the media just to have another topic to expound on in his videos. It makes him look desperate and he is such a grifter. No one says you can't be proud of your local sports team. No one says you can't be proud of doing a good job on something. No one says you can't be proud of your kids.

Wouldn’t it be confusing and misleading to say that a person was bit by a male mosquito? Peterson is not just talking about changing a name of something or someone but about changing the whole view, nature, identity of that what’s being called in some given way. You cannot got bitten by a male mosquito because only females bite. The most impressive thing Peterson has ever done is the fact that he has to be debunked by so many different disciplines because he talks about so much stuff he doesn't understand. From Biologist, to the Bar association of Canada, economics, fellow psychologists, philosophers, even supermodels are making fun of him. I'd di e of embrassement if I said so even half the amount of things he said that were just so wrong and easily debunkable, just the line about staying awake for 27 days due to Apple Cider would be to much on it's own. Yet for Peterson he just goes on, it's fascinating how one man can have such an undeserved ego and prefers to be ignorant on every topic he talks about, his the defintion of Dunning Kruger.
It's even more surprising considering Peterson is probably a relatively intelligent person. It's really important for people to realize that being unable to engage in introspection and self criticism will lead you the place Peterson is no matter how smart you are.

i was telling my father about how the legislation for changing names works, and he was like, "it used to be so hard to change when you uncle tried to change" now in Brazil ,between 18 and 19 years old, you don't even need a reason to change your name, they literally just gave a "change you name for free card", as soon as you become legally independent, and that is totally unrelated to being trans, the process for changing your gender might be harder, but no one need to know your gender to used the correct pronouns, when you have a properly gendered noun right after, unless you are a robot and cant infer pronouns

I think the part of this that really grated on me was the whole Elliot/Ellen thing and listing the he/she/they/them/it thing every single time. Like, people almost always use the new name to describe the person pre-transition and his pronouns are he/they. But even if you don't believe Elliot's a man, you can just misgender and say "Ellen, the she/her" or whatever.
The only reason he's constantly repeating the whole "Elliot/Ellen, she/he/they/it" mantra is because he's making himself sound as deliberately obtuse and unintuitive as possible, then turning it around and saying, "but I'M not doing it, it's the left, they're the crazy ones!"

I discover JP as I was recovering from a catastrophic health event. Really enjoyed his lectures on symbolism.
But I quickly realized something was wrong with him when I heard him talking about his meat diet because at that moment I was going through something very similar.
There are these people in the auto-immune online “community” who think all doctors are quacks and evil and you can “cure” yourself with just food. In the hospital they even got me a dietician because this is such a pervasive trend amongst people with these diseases. And it is super harmful, the last thing you need to do as you are recovering from an insidious flare up is to stop using medicine and starve yourself with some whacky diet you found on the internet.
And therefor it shocked me so much that a supposedly smart psychologist would fall for it. A psychologist would be one of the people who are tasked with helping people to stop these dietary dysfunctions.
Like there are entire communities on facebook called “nomeds” and are full of testimonies by people who got better from meds, thought they were actually fine and were convinced by some internet quack that sticking cabbage up your ass is actually the “cure” and they stopped taking meds. Might take a year, might take a decade but so many of them eventually get sick again and sometimes ended up with permanent damage, paralysis, colostomy bags, etc.
Kinda as if medical science is not just guess work and has proof for protocols like taking meds for auto-immune diseases because on the long term people without meds end up significantly worse.
How a supposed supper smart psychologist doesn’t realize that or even questions his own highly unorthodox believes is a huge red flag and was for me from the beginning.
If you can believe meat cures auto-immune diseases there is something wrong with you, seems like I was right.
