@@Grow_Up_Man55 No. Please don't. I'm 50 and I'm 100% sure that head banging, ignoring common sense & a black sense of humour keeps my wrinkles away! Since the kids moved out, I went back to the irresponsibility stage too.
Wow, watching this gave me anxiety & made me realise why I have a succulent hobby! 😱😂 I water succulents once a week, sometimes twice a week in summer. I’m in Perth, Western Australia and tropical plants get dehydrated & crispy so fast in our dry heat. I just grow chillies which I overwinter in the greenhouse, all in large pots so they only get watered daily for a few months during summer. You sir, have amazing dedication and perseverance. That is an outstanding collection. It’s just gorgeous to look at. I bet it smells hypnotic in there too. lol 💚🌱🌿☘️🌷🌹🌺🌸🌿
Haha! Originally the whole point of the video was to say, look, there isn't that much to do! But then afterwards I thought, crikey, no wonder I feel like I'm chasing my tail...Of course, I could make things much easier simply by growing temperate plants - then I could have all of winter off! Thanks for the kind words Susan, very much appreciated. 😬
Great video! Such a refreshing point of view. Glad to find another plant hobbyist who doesn't take everything too seriously! The hose story made me laugh because it's so something i would do.
If you are like me I use watering time to check general condition of each plant...it’s a hobby- enjoy the hobby( but I am getting rid of any that are Divas)!
Hehehe... That's why I work from home! I haven't counted all of my plants yet. I'm scared that my husband will kill me. He threatened me with an ice cold voice when I threw out his motorcycle & all parts he had removed from it, out from our garage. I needed space for my hibiscus plants during the winter. Stupid BMW motor parts are made of metal. They can take snow, not a variegated hibiscus. Period... 😇
Haha! 😂 I love your logic! I'm fortunate in that Hazel has no hobbies. It's a good job too or we'd be skint. I've enough expensive hobbies for us both! 🤷♂️🤣
Well, After a few days when he didn't have that beet red face any loger and told a big part of my survival was that I'm the mother of his kids, and the grandma of one. Then he asked me that if he builds a few plant ramps with full spectrum lights for me, enough to a room, since he is an electrical engineer, then after it is completed; He has giving himself permission to strangle me OR to water every plant he ever sees with Diesel if he ever sees a plant in his garage again. 👀 Sounds fair for me. 😇🥳
Lolol!!! 🤣🤣🤣 Who needs enemies when you're married?! You could have used his beet red face to add a bit of heat through winter. No use in wasting all that free plant warmth.
I laughed out loud when you told of your adventure with your hose.... something that would definitely happen to me.😂
I might develop some 'common sense' once I reach 52! 😂

Sticking the end back on while it is running...ok my 52 year old brain did that two weeks ago. Lol totally relate
I was too lazy to go round the house to turn it off! 🤣

It's an old video - but I'm glad you enjoyed it! I'd totally forgotten about the hose - and feel embarrassed all over again... 😂

Yeah exactly, depending on how much of a rush I'm in. 😀🤷♂️
Same Kathy M. No time for Divas anymore. lol
The Strep Ds... I would call it Strep "Claret Wine" - it has that colour to it but that is just me
Haha yeah that's true. I think a whole range of Streps named after wine would be a great idea!
What’s the name of the tall fern in front of the begonia at 4:07
That would be Pteris Cretica - the Cretan Brake fern - currently putting out some fertile fronds - the tall ones you see in the centre of the fern.
Happy early bday 😏
Thanks! 😬
