Just saw you on Bryan and Holly channel so I had to drop by for a visit and I like what I'm seeing so you have a new subscriber. Great review on the camera, I like your philosophy on buying a cheaper camera that still has all the functions and work just like the more expensive because it will hurt less when you break or lose it .... I'm on my third one lol, and I didn't learn that until now lol.
Lots of travel, camping and motorcycling. It was great to visit with Bryan and Holly. I don't need broadcast standard and I don't shoot higher than a 1080 resolution so I find anything in the $200 Cdn. range meets all my needs. I have abused my cameras in rain, snow and falls... they keep working. A couple are not as water resistant as they used to be lol.
Just like xmas when the Amazon box shows up Jim. I retired from the cheapy cameras and paid too much for a GP9 and so far it has been flawless. I must say you have great luck with those cheapy camera though. That's awesome! You do a lot of voice over which is great for these cameras that don't have great mic performace. You are right, the audio on this one is not the greatest. These cameras are great for your travel vlog style of videos.
I was too far away in a very noisy room. All camcoders and even my DSLR have some trouble with audio pickup unless you are upping your external mic game. Will be trying a few tricks in the next little while. I'm quite pleased with the video performance overall though. Much more testing to come.
They went on for 120 CAD! It's supposed to be delivered today. Just checked and they're back to 190 (but there's a 50 dollar coupon so 140). Thanks for the video!
@@donsmith2833 I have to admit that I have been far busier than I expected. I am quite impressed with Wolfang 420. I have done a number of rides with it as my helmet cam and very pleased with the video and audio. I am going to use one as my main helmet cam this summer. Very good bang for the buck. You have now reminded me that I have to do an actual review.
My whole 106 day series was shot on my Akaso 7LE and the XTU S3. The XTU was my helmet cam. This camera is feeling like it will be as good as those 2. I've only done some indoor shots so far. Will do more tests this weekend. It's no new DJI or GoPro but at 1/4 the price it is a damn goo cameera. So tempted to get a 2nd. @@johnclark812

As a novice and following your channel, You've got me almost convince to order 2 of these cameras along with 2 of the charging packages that you mentioned. I'm just a little confused on the SD cards they say they support up to 64g but you inserted a 128g, so will the 128g work???
The manual stated up to 64 gig but the newest info now says 128. No problem with the 128 so I guess they upgraded the software before reprinting the manuals. Pleased enough with the camera to have ordered a spare at the sale price. More testing videos coming up in the next week or so.
@@OldGuyonaBike As usual your information is GREATLY appreciated. Thanks! Just as a side note I have been to Newfoundland Twice and enjoyed it very much, looking forward to returning some day what a fantastic adventure
It seems that when you have the wifi on, you need to use your phone to view what the lense sees and control it for turning it on and off, take stillls etc.. You can change settings from your phone as well. The camera keeps that wifi connect screen displayed and yes, mine would only change by using the power button to shut the camera off.
That was just last week, so the finger is coming along quite well. My father, making a sound home movie, sat at our picnic table that was covered in 4" of snow... reading a newspaper... turned to the camera and said, "it's mid February - time to go south" while wearing only a bathing suit. I can be tempted to do strange things.
How about speaking OR having background music? It’s hard to concentrate on what you’re saying with the annoying techno music in the background. Thank you. I do enjoy your content.
Glad to see your hand is healed up. Looks like you have good movement in fingers . Keep em coming .
I can pull in a clutch and get my motorcycle glove on but have a ways to go with physio. Another month and it should be close to 100%
Very nice!! Can’t wait to see them in use!!!!
Gotta do some playing but I think they will work out well.
Keep it up,Old Guy on the Motorcycle. Victor from South Africa
Thanks Victor!
Nice camera Jim hope it works well for you take care have a great weekend
We're certainly ging to test it out.
That's a good deal on that camera. With a few mods you should have the batteries all fitting well. Well done Jim.
You'll have to check tomorrow morning's video. More cameera testing to come but at that deal, I just bought a spare camera.
@@OldGuyonaBike , thanks Jim, I will be watching for sure.
FYI Jim you are making a special appearance on the weekly Codraven video this Sunday morning......While you were camping at the Homestead.
Lookinjg forward to it.

Work on the audio Jim. Your content is excellent but if we can't hear it properly then it kinda kills your message.
This is one of the few that has gotten away from me. Just got a new wireless lavilier in that will help in high noise areas.

Might have rushed this one a little.

I probably rushed this one, couldn't get rid of the heater noise and got frustrated.

Was this this first video of mine you've watched? Usually my sound is much better. I knew this one was no good. We'll keep working at it.
