Awesome video! You definitely know your stuff! My knock sensor code is reading but thats way too much work for me to do; although it does look fairly straight forward!

Hi i have a 2003 745 li bmw and i am having trouble with the car, i wanted to ask you if you know, heard or ever been told that the car has been reseting the monitors on its own? The reason im asking is because my car has been doing that, i put my scanner and everything is good its ready for smog test but out of no where it resets all the monitors on its own. I wanted to see if you have ever came across this problem before and if so what did you do to fix it.

That sounds like an issue I had with an e39 of that same year, I suspect that you have a problem somewhere in the engine. so what I would do is have it scanned with a high end scan tool like mine or an INPA software because these are able to read the fault history unlike the ones at your local parts store or the cheaper OBD scanners, I am sure you'll find a code that is intermittent. and in my case it was the ECU so that's a possibility as well just FYI. Good luck and please consider subscribing :)
