"They arrested the kids and tortured them by pulling their nails to set an example to make people fear the government." This is just unbelievable. Thank you for sharing your story Yasser. Here we are with our biggest problems grinding GBL. Really puts things in perspective. We are glad you are safe and here in Canada.
I think this video is SO important for educating us on the state of affairs in Syria. Thank you so much for taking the time to talk about it. I guess it is not easy to confront these memories. I am glad that Assad is gone (finally) and I hope the future will bring back happiness and prosperity for the Syrian people!
Yasser I haven't been watching you for a long time, but your story really gives perspective. I had always assumed famous Pogo youtubers/streamers would be from privileged backgrounds, safe shelter, great families, and never had to deal with any bit of (genuine) hardship in life. Never should we ever take any of these things for granted in life.
I am personally touched that you'd even think about sharing this intimate time of your life with your Pokemon GO community. I popped in and out of stream but it I saw you were having difficulties retelling gruesome moments. People who have been through hell come out changed for the worst. I wish you keep your continued peace and solace after these times and I commend your spirit and will for remaining posiitve after all this happened. Here's to better times ahead. Wowtastic
😢 Thank you Yasser although my story isn’t as bad as yours, my mother left 🇸🇷 out of poverty and had to leave us behind 🇳🇱 for the reasons of your last slide. This broke our family now 55 years later everyone who is still here is suffering from some kind of illness but we managed to give our children this better life.
I’ve now gone back and watched this Yasser and wow. Absolutely heartbreaking. It makes me realize how I take my own country for granted. I’m so happy that you were able to escape but also very sad that you had to. I pray that you and others like you can go back to your homeland without fear of a corrupt government if you choose to. You really are the goat. Thanks for sharing
You are a great person bro, I know we can do anything for our families. We all want Syria to prosper. Everything all the kids and all the people had to go through should have never happened.
I found your channel this year when I got back into the game and I've been watching regularly since. Thank you for brightening peoples lives (and mine) with this hobby we all enjoy and letting us hang out with the best battler in the world each and every week. But even more importantly, thank you for sharing your story with all of us, it takes more courage than most of us could know. Thank you for telling these stories so that they cannot be covered up and so that the people who suffer are not forgotten. Wishing the best for you and your family.
I just finished watching the whole video and I’m left in tears with your story. I’m deeply sorry for everything you and yours were put through during those horrid, painful times. I know words will never be enough to mend all the harm and trauma you and all these people suffered. I just wanted to say that you are seen, you are loved, and admired by. I follow your channel since the beginning, and as we go about our daily lives, we can never imagine all the hardships and pain people endure and have endured. You are, as others have said, brave, strong, and courageous to share such a powerful and emotional story. I hope and pray that you and everyone who’s been through such suffering find strength and faith to heal and help others who also may be in need. Thank you Yasser. Thank you for sharing your story. From now on, in your every video, every time you smile and every time you say “Hello again friends” we’ll know the true value of these moments. We’ll know how much it cost you to be here with us. Thank you Yasser, from a friend. We all are your friends!
Yasser man what an incredible story. Your efforts to tell these stories and your pursuit of justice and peace is genuinely heroic. As your fellow Canadian I’m happy you’re here man. The country is better for it.
very brave brother, such a courageous thing to do teaching this community about the horrors they probably only heard about or know nothing of, from syrian refugee in france, your little brother, congratulations to us all. love and peace,
Yasser thank you so much for sharing your story. I know it's hard for you to share the toughest journey in your life. It was an amazing insight on your home country Syria. I wish you and your family the best and healthy life brother. Peace from JohnnyRedChar
Yasser, you’re one of the bravest people I know for sharing your story and experience. The courage you showed today, I’m in awe of you my friend. Thank you for your bravery and trusting your community with your story. We love you and I will keep you and the Syrian people in my thoughts. ❤
Thanks for sharing this. I am so sorry to hear what you have gone through. Only wish you the best. I am from Germany, my mother was german, my father came here as a young man from Syria. I still have a big family in Syria and even though I was only there one time as a kid and sadly barely know them, i was so worried about their safety all this years. When first my father died from one day to another in 2014 and a few years later my mother died, they were so nice. They even asked me if I need anything. And this all happened while they were living in this civil war now. I really hope the situation there gets better now, I really would like to visit them after almost 25 years and finally get to know them better. All the people in Syria deserve a better life, where they can live free and in safety.
You look to move past the atrocities you experienced with an eloquent explanation of family. Thank you for being in our lives. Respect and gratitude for your openness.
I’m watching your videos pretty often since I’m back on PoGo, they always helped me a lot regarding PvP. Very brave to share your story. Thank you for it since in general we cannot know much outside of people that are/has been Asylum Seeker. I’m mostly speechless about your story, and would say that it take a lot of courage to talk about what you’ve been through, that’s traumatic and saying this is even an understatement. The arriving in Canada mustn’t be easy either since you were leaving your family and more. I knew some stuff about Russia through someone who were an asylum seeker from there, but obviously not about Syria. I do hope your books will be published, they deserve it. They’re also another proof of courage since you have to go through all those terrible nightmares while writing them or then translating them. I wish you the best, for you as much as for your country, which hopefully will finally get peace for all the people there. Once again, thanks for having the courage to open up and we can only admire the silence you kept as an act of resistance towards Assad’s regime. It asks a lot. Must have been exhausting as well.
You are so brave Yasser. I’m so sorry this happened to you and to the Syrians but I’m glad that the suffer is over and to a new start to the country. You already have our respect and hearing about your background makes us respect you even more. 🙏
This was incredibly emotional to watch. May the departed from those prisons rest in peace. May Assad and his cohorts face the justice they deserve. Sending love ❤
I'm so glad you felt the bravery, courage, and safety to share your story with everyone and I look forward to the day your story reaches bookshelves. I hope things continue to improve for everyone in Syria as well as the countless asylum seekers worldwide.
I truly admire your courage Yasser. Such an emotional story, how humans can do such things to another is just beyond believe. Thank you for sharing your story
Wow.. I guess you never know how lucky you are. My grandmother immigrated to US from Damascus when she was very young and thankfully never had to experience anything like this. Thank you for sharing
I have so many questions and wanted to ask you about your thoughts on the fall of the Assad but didn't know if you wanted to talk about it. Thank you for sharing your story. You're a good guy and I'm glad you made it through, and I hope that we see safe a prosperous Syria now that the regime has fallen.
Thank you so much for sharing your story Yasser. It was extremely moving, I am in tears watching it and reading the comments. I cannot imagine how you survived the horror of the prison you described. Please keep us updated on your books. Much love from the UK ❤❤❤
Thank you Brave Yasser for telling your story. I asked a few days ago in your chat if you are happy for the syrian people and you did not respond. i felt very bad after that, because i did not think about what your background could be like. thank you again for telling us and i hope syria will be free and stay free and syrians won't need to suffer any more!
Respect and appreciate you sharing your story. To have the courage to say what you said, even after the prison experience really shows your strength bud. Definitely continue to find the right publishers to get the story out! I support you! If there's something I can help, let me know ❤
Yasser, thank you for sharing your story. Thank you for educating us. Thank you for choosing to be the light in an unfair world. Most of us could not imagine what evil lurks in the heart of men.
Whoa! It’s bedtime so I’ll have to save this one for the drive to work tomorrow but I am SUPER excited to hear your story Yasser! Will update after listening. Yasser still the 🐐
You have courage most of us can barely understand. Just to survive such an ordeal and to share it with us here. People like you are why we enjoy any freedom and peace in this world
Mashallah, thank you for sharing your story, brother. Anguish is a language everyone can speak, but few listen to; thank you for having the courage to speak it anyway.
I thought you were the best for hating Greedent as much as me, but now I admire you for your amazing courage and inspirational survival story. I will never forget your story.

All depends on work honestly, if I can't get a good job, I will go back

Question- now that Asad is gone, do you think your experience is going to be replayed with the Asad supporters being on the inside of the prisons?
non of assad supporters is being held in jail only the people who committed massacres will, and those will go to jails that are monitored by the UN(so should meet the UN standards for prisons ), or will be sent to the ICJ (International Court of Justice)
the opposition has set the rules that no revenge will be taken, anyone says otherwise is just making up theories
@@andromilk2634
So Assad and opposition are bad?
So everyone is bad?
That is what Assadist want everyone to believe
He seems to support people who I've seen slit the throats of toddlers. He claims sednaya held 400,000 when 4,000 was capacity and enemies of the Assad regime claim 4,300. Yes people were being tortured and deprived of rights but the people he seemingly supports just kill their opposition.

I just wachted the videos of Prison صيدنايا
Just horrible, they found the corpse of Mazen Hamada. I am was so destroied.
