This was my dad's favourite bike. He used to pick me up from school on it when I was a kid. He devastatingly passed away 3 days ago unexpectedly, and I'm now already in the process of buying one of these in his memory. Love you dad thanks for the rides x Ps the way that bike kicks in at the top end used to terrify me on the back as a young 10 year old 😅
I bought one in September for the track, love it but high-sided in the wet at brands but managed to get it fixed and back out for the afternoon, love this bike so far!
I got my license a bit over a year ago and spent last season on an new RS 660. The bike is great and made it easy for me to learn quickly, but I've pushed my luck far enough - riding track days with no insurance covering the bike. So, I just got one of these (600 K1) to use as a track bike. Previous owner did a few race prep things like braided lines, race disks and pads, and rear sets. I'm soooo looking forward to April and that crazy screaming sound!
Great looking bike buddy. Had the 750 k1 when got back into biking 8 years ago. Couldn't believe how good it was. Had the chance to buy a brand new one when they first came out. Went for a zx9 c2, instead. Wish I got the GSXR now.. 👍🏼
Love the bike! I also have a k1 600 as my first bike and I still have it :) bike is completly standard except the Yoshis racing slip-on and BMC filter. My bike is blue with black and (neon) yellow decals and I think it's the best colouring what one get with these "old" Suzukis. I haven't made many videos but there is a few sound examples where one can hear the air sucking in and the famous gearbox whine :D With brakes I recommend braided lines + sintered EBC pads. They bite really well with original Tokicos 👍
I'm the proud owner of a K2 600, with 67k on the clock, proof that the old school can take a kicking and keep on ticking! Mines not standard, SP engineering slip-on, 15t front sprocket, K&N filters, and the best bolt on, the Healtech Fi Pro , with the remap , happy days
@@mostlymotorbikes I finally got the paperwork and service done and yesterday went on my first short trip! It is an amazing bike! Even better from what I thought it would be! Back in the nineties I used to drove my brothers 93' 400cc gixxer and I was expected something similar and I was ok, but this is wayyyyy better! It handles so smooth in every aspect! But my hands went shore, especially the left one and a little bit numb even though I was holding as soft as I could the throttle. Do you have any suggestions for this problem; I have double the years of my bike 😂😂😂. Thanks again for your video my gixxer buddy!
@@scrub_nurse_1980 look up videos on setting the ergonomics of your bike to suit you. So position of the brake and clutch levers, gear lever etc. I recommend Dave Moss Tuning.
Hello again my gixxer friend! I have been enjoying my k3 every day sinze October and I had my lever set up properly as you recommended. What can I do about the vibrations on the handlebars? After an hour of driving my hands get so numb I can't feel them. Do you experienced the same? What handlebar grips do you use; oem or you have them upgraded; I have the oem ones and im in search for antivibration grips. Too many in the market I cannot choose! Thank you! Drive safe!
Am i the only person that uses a TankBag anymore!? Ive got a Black and silver 01 -1000 of these, i have a couple magnetic bags and I think they actualy make the profile of these look even better. People dont ever believe it when i tell them its a 22yr old bike, they have kept their looks threw all these yrs. And to me I think the brakes are great but Ive not anything newer than 2001 (ZX6R before this like urself, the yellow and black one). most impressive to me is the 420lbs it weighs.
I’ll take your word for it on the tank bag 😀🤓🤣 agree that they still hold up in looks terms with modern stuff. I love mine. Trust me though, I own a ‘23 S1000RR. The brakes are awful 🤣 Doesn’t make me love it any less though, just brake earlier.
Been through a 750 ~95, two or three 600s. I live the old school ways, as I am approaching 60. I've done trackdays and raced, but at my age, I would rather now get a, say, Norton or BSA and use the torque.
I currently own a k1 is actually my second one. I love these bike and providing you do the proper maintenance the bike will last a very long time. If your interested check my page i have a video of my current bike running its Devil exaust system

Would it be a good daily commuter? Is it reliable?
Yes, very reliable, basically bulletproof if maintained
