This is awesome! Thank you! Can you show us the killer lick you played at the end of "State of Love & Trust" unplugged? Awesome floor tom and kick work.
Dave A not drumming for Pj is like building your beautiful dream home and staying in a tent at the door step .We are so blessed to have so much live recordings of Dave with Pj , gave them the polished live sound never recaptured after his departure. What a gun
*_The legend lives! Maximum respect always! Reference! Source of all knowledge! What a powerful groove! Hugs from a big fan of yours here in Brazil man... And he's also a drummer!_*
Without a doubt he gave a unique sound to perl jam, unforgettable in those times it was something spectacular to hear Dave with perl jam the best he is still in shape greetings from Celaya Guanajuato Mexico
Without a doubt, pearl jam is legendary, an authentic rock band, spectacular way of playing live to date, but I must highlight concerts from the 1990s as something unforgettable.
This is great! Would also love to see you breakdown exactly what you’re doing with your left hand and high hat when riding on the ride from the old PJ days.
I'm glad to see you passing on the knowledge. My formative drumming years were heavily influenced by you; in fact, I learned the most just by watching what live performances I could find. Your use of cymbals blew me away, and I as in awe of the righteousness of your drumming. It was always present; aggressive but not overpowering. My band is about to record our third album and, after years of poor work ethic, I've dedicated myself to practicing every day for the last few months because I want this to be the best drumming on any of our albums. I think that it will be, and the work will show. And I'm not too proud to say that your work continues to influence me and my own drumming. Many, many thanks, Dave. I wouldn't be the drummer I am today without your influence.
Rainy saturday in my town - what better I could do than watch dear Dave as he killing it on the drums. Thank you, D. ♥ Always pleasure to spend time with you. I hope all is well with you. Hugs, Niki
That snare and bass drum sound amazing Dave. Hell the whole kit sounds amazing as usual. But what do I know, I’m just a guitar player. Pretty cool that you are passing on your knowledge and offering this opportunity for drummers. I almost feel like paying for a block of time to catch up. It’s been 31ish yrs, so you probably wouldn’t even remember anyway since we only met a few times 😂, although you may remember the bass player Jaime. Keep the videos coming Dave, they sound good. 👍🏻
Dave Immortality would be soooooo kool I saw you 4 times Every time you played it Absolutely amazing Just throwing it out there Love all what you do Peace and Blessings to you and yours
Mr Dave "fuc.." Abbruzzese How do you do? Hope you feel fine... I'm not coment too much early but Man... first Thanks for Share again... Listen you, and again, 30 years ago (yes The time pass by) .. oh I can't forget... .Green Romance Orchestra... What Work... but Focus here 😂😂😂... the passion, the ❤, the Groove, the music, the Fell an the felling... once again Thank you Very fuc... Much
A steady flow of lesson material from you woukd be killer. Im 44 and just started playing drums 6 months ago, and love trying to keep up with your live PJ stuff, but some real knowledge straight from the source is so very appreciated.
Here from Andrew Rooney's TH-cam channel. Didn't know you had a channel. What a gift to drumming you have been to the world. Thank you for inspiring so many of us!
I'm actually surprised another big rock band haven't adopted Dave. He was perfect for PJ but I can see him being an amazing fit for loads of other big bands
My favourite jam was always Out of My Mind, the Daughter b side live version of Yellowledbetter is amazing also. Thanks for being so generous with your work
I wrote a few songs to this last night. I added bass, guitar, and vocals. It was super fun to experiment with, as it allowed me to write one thing and then start over from scratch and evolve it into completely different compositions. Next jam session--"Dave Abbruzzese meets his Dunnett snare." :) Thanks so much for posting this!
Thank you so much for that awsome powerfull groove 🤘Your drums sound amazing. You inspired me so much in the 90’s when I was learning to play the drums and you still inspire me 🤩
My Favorite Drummer from The 90's era along with Grohl, Chamberlin, Cameron and Alexander! Pearl Jam Made a Very wrong decision replacing Him! Cameron is a Monster but for me He belonged more in Soundgarden! Dave is The Man for PJ!
Okay okay, I grew up listening to this dude, without knowing who he was. Been drumming for 35 years and I now can clearly hear where I got my influence from. I now roast coffee and will DEFINITELY start playing more and more drums.
Best rock drummer! I love Dave Grohl, Taylor and Josh and am a massive Foo’s fan. But Dave Ambbruzzese has something special. I don’t like to compare anyone to John Bonham but Dave has what Bonham had. That certain feel, the pocket in the groove. And his bass drum triplets remind me of the first time hearing Bonham on Good times Bad times. Pure precision with a groove that is unmatched.
Sounds great! Thunderous! Cymbals sound crisp and warm. 22, 13, 14, 16 w/13" snare? Perhaps you would care to comment on how you chart songs you need to learn for recording or playing live?
Hey Dave whats up! I saw Your Snare online and it Sounds Killer!! I was wondering where can I order the Azturk Cymbals and your Signature Crashes! Thanks Jon🥁🎧📻
Dave, you gotta know you are loved and missed by your fans who would love nothing more to see you crushing it behind the kit w P J. Think it’s been 30 years and the fans are still outraged and confused as to why they dropped you. I don’t think they would have had the success they have today if you and your incredible playing and energy weren’t on vs & vitality. Hell you spiced up ten w unplugged and your live performances. You were the talent. We love ya. It’s none of my business but I notice lots of coughing in interviews. Just concerned ❤️.ty

I can still hear him playing perfectly for Pearl Jam. He was their best drummer ever. Amazing talent that will live on forever!
My fav with PJ too and it ain't close
Yes!!! This!!! Hands down!!
A drummer that can lay down a groove like Dave can play with anyone and elevate the music.
esp when they did their MTV thing..he's awesome in that performance!
You can't beat a Dave Abbruzzese groove.

Couldn't agree more. Everything afterwards is milquetoast.
Vs. and Vitalogy were Pearl Jams two best albums, because of this man right here. 🥁🎵
Dave was the energy that kept PJ going.
Killing it with that single pedal 🔥
i was gonna say
One pedal is all you need man!!!
Nice groove indeed. Loving the Bonham-esque kick rolls 😊
Dave Abbruzzese, YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY AWESOME 🥁🔥🩷 Awesome beat and groove!! 😊🤟✌️Thank You so much for sharing this awesome video with us!!
Dave the more you post, the better off the world will be.

What a great groove.
I love Dave and learned every fill on all of his recordings. Love how he rocks a 12in snare! I do the same.
That's fantastic, man!
Great funky swing in your playing on this Dave, not unlike what you got in the versus sections of Rats ❤
Solid, could play along and around this all day, so many paths to go down .
