    I have the same model boat but 2001. Did a full reno from paint, floors decals and put a 35 hp mercury on it. I too love this boat!

    Nice boat and motor. I have the suzuki df30a, and very pleased also. I have plain setup tracker grizzly. Wide open space and no floors to rot. Boat is plenty fast for me. I haven't noticed the 20 hour service light yet. Thanks for the tip.
    Enjoy.

      Thanks pal....the Grizzly is one of my favorites. I regret getting a short transom on this boat. If they had a 20 inch transom I would have gotten it. The truth is, this 25 has so much torque, I tried it this afternoon alone for the first time and almost had a bad day.....its terrible unless I have a passenger in the mid or front.

      I just saw your 30 running... it's a beauty !

      Jasper, by any chance do you know if your DF30 has a restrictor plate behind the air filter box ? I'm looking to buy the df30 ecu and remove my restrictor plate. I didn't see one listed for the df30.....So I'm assuming the 30 doesn't even have one. Thanks- Jeff

      @@1minibean I’m late to this thread, but did you ever end up getting the 30 HP ECU and solve the destructor plate questions?

      @@justinstewart3248
      I haven’t done it, but that’s how guys have been doing it properly. ECU from the DF30 and remove the restricted plate and that’s it. The job adds up to about 500 dollars.

    do you have to bolt thedf25 on, or can you use just the clamps? I'll be needing to take it off and on often as one of my main fishing places is electric motor only

    • @1minibean
      @1minibean  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would use bolts. The clamps loosen I noticed. Or lock them together which is possible. This might or might not stop the loosening.

    Can you link the jet ski battery you used? Is it a deep cycle? I’d like to do the same thing to save weight.

    • @1minibean
      @1minibean  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I just bought one at Walmart with no reference. It looked like the size I could use and it worked perfectly.

      @@1minibean have you had any issues with long term life span, or running electronics other than the motor? I have very simple lights hooked up and a small radio. I think a jet ski battery would work great.

    • @1minibean
      @1minibean  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@justinstewart3248 I think you would be fine, as this motor has an alternator. I never ran anything off mine, just for the electric start.

      This battery is awesome, it’s been 3 seasons going strong. I remove it every November and keep it in the house on a tender. Is well worth the 75 dollars, and light weight. Consider to Get it, you will be very happy with it.

    I’m leaning towards getting the same motor for a whaler I’m restoring. Btw what’s with the cigarette sticker ? Lol. That’s like putting a Ferrari sticker on the side of a Honda Civic.

    I got a 2020 suzuki 25 hp 4 stroke And i backed up into something today and it destroyed my prop...it had a 10 1/4 10 pitch prop..they are garbage..I ordered a 10 1\2 11pitch stainless steel prop today...hopefully I get a couple mph and it don't break..it's 2 weeks old...very disappointed with that

    • @1minibean
      @1minibean  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sorry to hear.....I’d be furious too. But the good news is you didn’t have that stainless prop on there today, because you would have destroyed the shaft along with it. Can you let me know how that stainless prop does on your motor ? I’d really like to know how our Suzuki 25s do with it.

    Nice boat!! Very good set up.
    How much does it cost to have something like this?

    • @1minibean
      @1minibean  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you, well the total was $8000. after taxes.Boat, motor trailer alI purchased new. I found it way cheaper to buy the boat empty, and motor separate and just install it myself. I look back at the total cost and what you can get used for that money.......But then again, I looked at many second hand boats, and what I found is either an old beat up boat with a newer motor, or a newer boat with a beat up older motor.

      @@1minibean Well I think it is well worth it !!! I love It!! The color selection and how clean you keep everything. I have a Zodiac 310 dinghy with 9.8 Tohatsu. Also both them new and I love them.
      It's time for an upgrade! ;-)
      As someone sad! No matter what boat you buy........ It will be always small !!! ;-))))
      Thank you for your reply! Enjoy the ride! Great BUY!!

      Thank you sir, and I have been looking at the Zodiacs for years and even recently. I like the RIB aluminum 350 but sure are pricey. The 310 is a very perfect load and go size, and tohatsu motors are super reliable.

      @@1minibean Yes, it is a great set, with the 9.9hp. I have one more question. What are the dimensions of your garage? I may have to rent a storage space where to keep the boat.
      usually, they are 10'x15' or 10'x20'. And also do you take off the front part of the trailer when you store your boat?

      I fit a Toyota Tundra Extended cab in my garage, with about 1foot to spare. My boat and trailer just fits by about the same (1 foot to spare)
