Most people don't realize the weight difference these Elantra N have, let alone just weight differences in general when it comes to races. Keep in mind, these Elantra's literally weigh the same as a VW GTI roughly 3100-3300 curb weight, etc. so its not "lies" on the HP, they likely just aren't factoring in, that weight produces "HP", along with wider good tires. I have a MK4 GTI roughly same 400whp - GT3071 w/ 630cc injectors and smack around 5.0/392 scats all day on just 93pump lol! Keep doing you bro and cant wait to watch the continued adventure.
I'm gonna be heading to tinman within a few months to get the studs/inserts and gasket changed out on my VN so I can start hitting 30-32 psi consistently and hopefully hit high 7s in the 60-130.
@ndriverkg104 yeah, I've been meaning to get it done for a while but finally got the cash to get everything together. I'm excited to have some more competition finally that's not just our little lap3 group we have.

@@ndriverkg104you should get at least the powerflex purple RMM bushing, it makes shifting feel a tiny tiny tiny bit better, and it's definitely worth it for resolving the wheel hop, and making the car feel a little better when it's struggling for traction even when it's at a higher speed. Definitely worth
That's great seeing you get to this point with this platform. 500 with a FWD 3200 lb car is pretty damn quick and I'm curious what the top speed would be. Seems like it might be sketchy, but you might hit 190 in that thing. Any plans for weight reduction? If you could get under 3000 it would be insane. BTW, all the information I have read says that for E, the gains actually come at about E 50 and you get the full gains after E 60. Can't do E 50, youre not getting much cooling benefit just run octane booster like race gas or VP Maddative. It will turn your plugs orange, but I've never had any problems with it.
There are a handful of GTI’s in I know in town that with a vortex or vortex xl and E that are in the 7’s and right around 500whp with that said, Maybe mid 8’s if I had to guess on pump around 440whp ish similar to yours.
@swype.media-9309 id love to see it i ran 2 gtis so far while on lower boost and by time we are at 130-150 its about the same distance away and both were around my power just like when i was stock turbo and throughout the years see them range in 60-130 in 13s-low 11s
@ndriverkg104 That would be awesome. Have categories for each whp group you went through. Eg one for 330, 385, and whichever grouping you feel is a good step up from there and beyond
Bro, how are you running that power on stock motor mounts? I get hitting it on a roll, but that wheel hop from a dig will rattle your brain lol also I do agree that the gears in this car are superior, I see stock turbo type Rs (supposed to make 420-440 whp) running in the mid 10s 60-130 and I scratch my head
@@codypark619 i know I really don’t understand how ctr’s are lighter and sometimes makes more power but run slower and rmm always needed for lower speed takeoffs
@@ndriverkg104I studied a few of their 60-130 graphs and I saw they are geared like the wrx, pretty close ratio, so they require 2 shifts and I think (me talking out my ass) their turbos might take a bit longer to spool so the peak power is there but they lose so much when shifting
Soon I will be is38 e85 and I will most definitely get some 60-130 runs to see what I can get. I know I should be capable of a 9 something but we’ll see. That's a good target number to keep reliability. The MT clutch holds the power a little better than the auto, but the DCT is quicker.
not to argue but we have at least 4 of us on lap3 stage X tunes making over 400whp and have been for a while now.
