I haven’t had them touch my head in 2 years so I think it’s becoming more normal for clips to show up on womens’ heads! My wigs only have 2 clips on them and I never have an issue with it

Taking them off would require sewing them back on at a later time which is way too much work! They rarely set it off!!

I'm afraid to wear one a plane even though you said the metal tabs in the ears don't make the metal detector go off but what about that full body scan machine? I can't imagine what would happen if I was asked to remove it? omgosh
