It's amazing how certain dialogues throughout the story are details that gain importance when we finish the game. • After the first shot, Tommy shoots Sam twice in the head, following the don's line. • On two occasions Frank talks about Salieri's instability and ruthlessness: when telling about the story of the dog (murdered when she was no longer useful) and before running away (when he reveals that he is afraid of the day the don will shoot him in the head) • Salieri had already warned Tom to be careful with Paulie's actions (the story of the drowned friends). (Sorry the mistakes, I don't know english)

I had to check out this video because I just played this part and as Sam started talking about Paulie I pulled the right trigger at the exact time that Tommy shot him. I thought that I was the one that killed him.
Finishing this gem up, they put some craftmanship into this fasho, graphics and feel of the city is 🔥🔥 hopefully the next mafia game will be a bit more open, definitely one of the best stories I came across
Saved them from that chase at the beginning of the game, had their asses multiple times when they were about to die, and carried him to a doctor when he was nearly dead, god tommy saw his best friends die
I can totally understand why sam betrayed tom and paulie. Maybe he was scared but he had to do to save himself from the don and the mafia. I mean, probably everyone would do the same in his position
there were Three Friends, all of the have died. Paulie killed by Sam, Sam killed by Tommy, Tommy who decided this life is no more for him, Three bullets packed straight into Sam right after he mentioned all three of them
This is why I will always say Mafia 1 was better than 2. Even as you're going into the building, everything becomes gray, and the size of the building dwarfs you like it's the Mafia growing to power while it tries to kill Tom. Fucking masterpiece, every second of it.
It’s really sad seeing what the life does to good friends. One point all is well, but once one guy fucks up they have to go otherwise everyone goes down. Which explains Sam’s situation quite well. He didn’t want Paulie and Tommy gone but he didn’t wanna die. And Tommy and Paulie didn’t wanna betray the don, but he betrayed them first. So they wanted out. Basically there is no happy ending for mobsters. It always comes down to how long until you receive a bullet in your head?
Finished this game and man the emotions in this scene, Sam was saved multiple times by Paulie and Tommy for him to just betray the same people who saved him in shitty situations for a Don that could give two shits about him just man.
The first one when tom walks in is called "that don't square" and when sam is talking to tommy before his death it is called "our business has rules " from the game music album.
I am guessing sam told salierie about frank and the girl was he was sweet on because he felt like maybe saying this might get him promoted or make him his own capo under salierie and sam probably told salierie about their plan about the bank being cautious and when they finally did don salierie order sam to kill Paulie but seeing his reaction he probably asked someone else to kill that probably the logical outcome because Sam really like Paulie and tommy
Just as good as the scene in GTA IV when Niko confronts Darko. I just noticed that Tommy shoots Sam three times. One bullet from Tommy, one for Paulie, and another for Frank. Amazing.
2:45 Ok, this is some seriously good attention to detail. Notice how Tommy is holding the pistol using the US Army's standard "tea cup" grip. This was the universal way gun instructors (and the US military) taught people to hold a semi-auto two handed prior to the 1950s. It's such a good detail that I'm blown away to see it here. This means that the development team wanted to get so many details right, that they went out of their way to research how people held guns back then to make sure it was period accurate.

• On two occasions Frank talks about Salieri's instability and ruthlessness: when telling about the story of the dog (murdered when she was no longer useful) and before running away (when he reveals that he is afraid of the day the don will shoot him in the head)
• Salieri had already warned Tom to be careful with Paulie's actions (the story of the drowned friends).
(Sorry the mistakes, I don't know english)
he wanted tommy to keep the lady ive the hypocrite
4:58 man the way Sam just looks up at Tommy in his last moment before he dies always gets me 😢 I know he betrayed Tommy but the way he dies I felt so bad
I just realized Tommy shot Sam a few extra times. He remembered what Sam told him after he didn't shoot that one kid.
Played this on classic mode. It wasn't THIS easy lmfao
I had to check out this video because I just played this part and as Sam started talking about Paulie I pulled the right trigger at the exact time that Tommy shot him. I thought that I was the one that killed him.
This game has the best cutscenes I’ve ever seen.
Finishing this gem up, they put some craftmanship into this fasho, graphics and feel of the city is 🔥🔥 hopefully the next mafia game will be a bit more open, definitely one of the best stories I came across
Man, I wish Tommy and Paulie just listened to Sam.
Saved them from that chase at the beginning of the game, had their asses multiple times when they were about to die, and carried him to a doctor when he was nearly dead, god tommy saw his best friends die
Amazing how the remake made this scene so emotional that I got all teary.
Sam was the only one loyal in this game. He reminds me of Javier. He is loyal to a bad man
Sam isn't as mean like he was in original!
I really like this one tbh, he's much more understanding and is bitter sweet instead of plain old satisfying killing him like the original.
@@hubendraknirnarciso8573this game is another good remake
he did ALL THAT in a sweet suit lol
*Top 10 saddest anime deaths*
The business had rules? Salieri had that secret dope job
“Don’t let him suffer boys, he’s my buddy.”
Greatest line in the game
It’s sadder when you realize tommy shot Pauli mid sentence cuz if he kept talking tommy wouldn’t the able to shoot sam 😔
That's Sam
And to me it seems that he got pissed when Sam mentioned Paulie's name, reminding Tommy how Sam basically murdered their mutual best friend
The soundtrack for this game is so underrated.
I wished the story of Mafia gets more recognized like RDR2's story
I can totally understand why sam betrayed tom and paulie. Maybe he was scared but he had to do to save himself from the don and the mafia. I mean, probably everyone would do the same in his position
I seriously doubt Tom or Paulie would hurt Sam that’s makes it worse
@@dionruffin3996 yeah
No one gonna talk about that Sam accent.
@@Mooshake069420 his upper lip didn't exist.
Chicago 30s accent
I will always love that they changed the scene in the Definitive Edition to have Tommy kill Sam as soon as he mentioned Paulie’s name.
Imagine after tommy killed Sam, Leo Gallante shows up behind him and says “The Commission wants you dead”
He looks like jimmy fallan
there were Three Friends, all of the have died.
I wish that Tommy kept shooting until the pistol had no ammo and he'd be still pulling the trigger like in Devil May Cry 3 with Lady's scene
sam talks all this shit for being critically injured every five seconds
I liked, sam even in the end he was my fav character
It’s really sad seeing what the life does to good friends. One point all is well, but once one guy fucks up they have to go otherwise everyone goes down. Which explains Sam’s situation quite well. He didn’t want Paulie and Tommy gone but he didn’t wanna die. And Tommy and Paulie didn’t wanna betray the don, but he betrayed them first. So they wanted out. Basically there is no happy ending for mobsters. It always comes down to how long until you receive a bullet in your head?
This games story was better then red dead redemption twos ngl.
Finished this game and man the emotions in this scene, Sam was saved multiple times by Paulie and Tommy for him to just betray the same people who saved him in shitty situations for a Don that could give two shits about him just man.
If they would have killed him the game would still have been a masterpiece
Can I just say I love that smile at 4:23 no homo but god this man is hot lmao
Ew gay
So it’s Tommy’s fault that Sam asked him to save the girl? What kinda fucked up logic is that?
He told him to let her go, so he could have more dirt on Tommy.
@@meldrickedwards1892no he didn't he told her to let her go because he felt bad. After Tommy betrayed the Don then he used it as dirt
Play first see this 🌟4:56 He kill just JUST... when he say Paulie....Boom shot....
What's the music at 3:24
Bit a situasion
The first one when tom walks in is called "that don't square" and when sam is talking to tommy before his death it is called "our business has rules " from the game music album.
YO LEGIT everyone missed everything’s that sam says to Tom you have to not shoot him right away when hes shooting at you and then let him talk more.
This game was a banger! I had so much fun!
"The Death of Art" ;____;
Really wish they remade Mafia 2's Cutscenes like this.
idk, but i miss paulie and sam tbh
Bro I ran through all sams guys I was so mad
But that guys end…
Sam…You killed kim? You killed Paulie?
No. Paulie got himself killed
Just as good as the scene in GTA IV when Niko confronts Darko.
I just noticed that Tommy shoots Sam three times. One bullet from Tommy, one for Paulie, and another for Frank. Amazing.
Fantastic game. Played it on X playing mafia 2
Good, also if Sam couldn’t even get enough money for Salieri, what did he think was gonna happen when he started rising up in the ranks?
He pretty much would still had his role as a soldier in the family. Maybe also known as a top earner but that’s it.
I liked the original cutscene more
So did tommy get the money in the end?
no, he ratted on the family and got put into witness protection before eventually getting murdered by the protagonist of mafia 2.
@@slappytheclown4 atleast he died being old and rich like he always wanted
@@bobbery2129 he wasnt rich tho, he didnt took that money, u can say that he started from 0 after his 8 years in prison.
Did Sam killed Paulie ??
No.Paulie got himself killed.
@@PJS-7K- no Sam killed him you're wronf
@@PJS-7K- And you seem real tore up about it.
@@wajajan697 I'm just in good mood.
I don't think Sam personally killed Paulie but rather had some of his crew do it
I liked Sam
