Mike, thanks for doing these vids! I was able to change the cyan/magenta head on my SG-540, but now Im getting an alignment issue. It's like the black isn't lining up and the image is fuzzy. What would be the next step to stop that?
@@reprint217 I figured it out. The head wasn’t pushed flat. I had to use a little more force than I expected. Once in position correctly, everything works as it should. Thanks for the help!
How do you know when it’s time to get a new head. I got some clogged nozzles but I feel like it might be possible to save. There’s only a few nozzles not showing that are making a negative difference in my print quality. Thanks
Hello buddy, I have a LEF2-300 print head to replace, genuine Roland head. Is this the same or similar process as in doubt wether I’ll be able to do on my own?
Oh man, these are a lot of fun, they aren't much different but the dampers have a "shield" and an adapter . I haven't made an LEF how to yet as it likely isn't for a beginner. And if something goes wrong dealing with the boards is a PIA. The lef2-300 still a 25k +/- machine. Probably would have a tech do it tbh. (Also make sure it is the new gold head)
I am a teacher at a high school and use a Roland sg3 in my Visual Communications class. I was quoted $1100 to replace a broken head. Where is a good place to find a reasonably priced printer head?
Hi can you please give me some advise. My VG2’s light black channel keeps dropping out. Had Roland around and they replaced the head and dampers but still is doing it. There is ink in the damper and pump works.
@reprint217 Can you help me? I buy a roland truevis vg3, and have a lot of problems... The shop that sell me the machine, have change the printhead of cian twice... in 4 / 5 months the machine starts banding... all right with nozzle check, PERFECT! And now have the same problem with green 😡😡 Can you help me PLZ!!
Super easy to follow. Thanks Mike!
Thanks for the support!
This video saved me a lot of money
That was the goal! Very glad it helped!
Thank you for posting these videos.
My pleasure, love helping people and much easier to send a link
Do you have video on how to replace the scan motor on a SG 540 Truevis machine. TIA
Thank you for this
Did you get the head replaced
6:15 that happened because you didn't perform "Empty Damper" procedure before removing the head from the machine.
In this case, empty damper didn't work because head was 100% clogged
@@reprint217 ahh, ok, got it. Thanks for your helpful channel

You need to get into service mode and do alignments

does the printer have to be off?
Best to have off, so it doesn't try to do anything auto clean
Where is the best place to buy the printhead for a Truist 540?
Tru vis 540
You made it seem so easy 😂
im having a problem with my vg2540 its reading error code0380 (00FF) have you ever come across this
This is a filling error. I would try cleaning around the damper and doing a damper fill

I sure can! Is your machine not under warranty? I have the bypass but don't want to screw up your warranty
@@reprint217 this machine not under warranty
