Cheap LED LIGHTS for Hunting/Fishing Canoe | How Good Are They? pt.3

- In this video we install a cheaper LED light kit on the new hunting canoe project. We walk through the details of the kit, how we installed it, and do a little test run! See some of the findings below...
Durability- Harness is heavy duty and has quality coated wires
Hardware- standard but small. Some of the mounting bolts are hard to install and can be really frustrating!
You get plenty of wire for the harness which is nice and the relay and fuses are a great add for helping the lights last longer.
Lights- Lights perform well but not great. On the water I had about 12ft of really good visibility form the lights before it faded sharply. However, I am going to turn the lights at a higher angle and see if it makes a difference.
This seems to be a decent kit for the money. Will it stand up over time? Who knows but it certainly serves its purpose and you get a lot of harness for the money.

I plan on getting one but ill be funneling through the wires in conduit making it more waterproof
when are you going to add a minnkota >:) keep it up with the vids I have a 16ft tomahawk and am out in Texas I would love to see you go hunting and explain how to legally go about it in Texas in the canoe
lol Well I am considering it but it you make it motorized then you have to register it with the state of Texas and I dont know if I want to mess with that! Im hoping to utilize the canoe for a few spots this year so we will see :) Thanks for the feedback!
What are you using the canoe for. Do you ever fish out of it or frog hunt with it. I thought you could have turned it on in the garage with the door down. Does your dad ever go out in it with you. It did light up pretty good though.
I picked it up for a little bayou, pond, and river fishing but also for accessing some of the national forest lands for deer hunting later this year! So, im having some fun rigging it up. Dad says he aint gettin in it lmbo!!
What battery size did you use for the light system for the boat ?
I use an Everstart 12V 350 cranking amp system inside a marine battery box so I could run a small trolling motor if needed as well
