Coming back here after hearing that Ken Block has passed away in January 2nd, 2023. Fuck, man... We lost another legend of rally racing. And he's also in this game makes me fuckin cried, bruv. 😭😭😭 R.I.P Ken Block 1967-2023
Honestly I haven't enjoyed a game like dirt 2 in a very long time I got 100% of the achievements twice cause it was the best experience im glad they gave you such an amazing tribute video once you beat it
Watching this gives me such strong nostalgia of playing this game for the first time a while back and seeing this tribute. It was a good surprise but I remember that when the flag came up on the screen at the end it totally made me cry lol
I hope codies do a tribute for Ken in the next DiRT game, he helped keep the franchise going forward and was a good addition to the games for sure, deserves a tribute in my eyes altho I never really fully connected with the feeling he was so great this is a touch of class we need

Then this clip came up, and holy fuck did I fall in love with this game even more, my dad is Scottish, I'm born in Belgium but when we lived in Bosnia in the early 2000's I remember he would buy me the new releases of the Colin McRae games and would play with me, greatest memories and looked up to this legend a lot, I think we both shed some tears when we learned about what happened in 2007.

An absolute Legend of a Rally Driver. So aggressive and yet so precise. If he rolls and the lands on his wheels, he kept going until the engine couldn't take it anymore. A true racer and is surely missed. I didn't know about him much when I first played Dirt 2, but after seeing this video and seeing more videos of him, I became a big fan of his accomplishments and brought a lot more meaning and emotion when rewatching this again after all these years. Dirt 2 itself is also my all time favorite racing game. the Dirt series is the only Racing series where I actually race in Cockpit view because they nailed the feel of being in the seat and felt it was the only way to get the full experience. I wish and hope that someday in the future, we get a Remastered Edition of Dirt 2 with Updated Graphics and Visuals but keep everything else intact.
I also think it was great because Pastrana, Faust, Block, and others talked to the players and eachother while racing. It added personality to the game.
First Colin McRae, now Ken Block. Rest easy both you legends 😔

I really would not call Ken Block a legend of Rally. He’s more of a legend in Gymkhana, Ken never actually won any rallies or stages in WRC.
