Think the delay might be a casualty of the two companies merging? Jet Stream needs a total re-build. Every inch of that ride screams deterioration and decay. I love the ride (loved Log Jammer more) and wish it were getting more love than just the bridge (and those freaking umbrellas!). I am speechless about those umbrellas.
It needs more water flow for sure! Too many bumps.
they must restore Jet Stream back to its former glory! maybe add in a dark ride section. log jammer was the best log ride in the world. i was soooooo sad when they removed it. still sad.
Getting rid of Log Jammer was a terrible move. I love Full Throttle but it added a relaxing element to the park that’s missing now
Absolutely! Full Throttle was no replacement for a relaxing journey through the forest. The park seriously needs more non-rollercoasters (a gondola, ferris wheel, train, something…)! My head hurts after I go on about four of them.
Those umbrellas are a terrible idea for shade in the summer! It’s like 100+ sometimes in summer
I was thinking the same thing! The choice is so so weird.
I am pretty sure the umbrellas are temporary. As for the new sign for Viper. What was wrong with the old sign with the snake head? I always thought it was cool. I waited in line for Viper for almost an hour yesterday.

jog jammer was my favorite ride at SFMM. absolutely tragedy they removed it!!!! they can never remove Jet Stream. such a classic too. me and my family went to Great America san jose back in like 1978, right after they opened. they had these two intertwining log rides. one was called the Yankee Clipper and dont recall the other name. log rides are definitely not a thing any more but to me, they are like the people mover. its a classic that theme parks need to have. removing them for more coasters is a bad move. i also remember going on the sky cars and the monorail at SFMM. wish we had more cameras back then. they were too heavy so hardly any video of any of these rides. very sad.
Yeah I love full Throttle but SFMM absolutely tore down the wrong log flume
Graduated '81. I was at Magic Mountain first year....good times...
So now I don’t feel so bad. My grad night was 82. But it was from middle school. My senior high grad night was Disneyland and there was a strict dress code. Girls had to wear a dress and it had to be a certain length. Of course walking around in heels all night wasn’t the most comfortable experience either. I wish my senior high grad night was Magic Mountain.
There were permits filed recently to convert the candy store into a larger space for the adjacent funnel cake shop. But this being Six Flags, you can never rule out screwing that up too lol
The umbrellas over the Jet Stream Bridge is just plan laziness, and it looks awful. If I was in queue for Jet Stream and saw those umbrellas I would say to myself, *_"What is MM thinking, so cheap, such laziness. I guess they had a special on umbrellas."_* ☂☂☂Fold them put them away, never to return. ☂☂

Im a massive fan of MM. And I am so dissapointed in a lot. I agree with you on everything you said. As far as WW, All the wheels have to be replaced on the trains. So I am told. Those Umbrellas are an embarrassment. Really hope they are temporary.
Is it possible the umbrellas on the bridge are for the M&M sponsorship? Like to add color to represent M&Ms since they’re advertising them on the bridge ? That’s my thought
Since the 99 cent stores are closed, I doubt they’ll be able to replace the umbrellas now 😔

Wondering if you can do a short video explaining Six Flags season pass pricing, benefits, add ons and more importantly pros and cons, recommendations from your experience of having one. Very vague on the website and hard to get someone on the phone with any real world knowledge. Thanks for the video!
They should use LED light rods to recreate that iconic gate so it updates without completely killing that structure. I remember as a kid thinking one day I’d get to walk under those iconic things. Then it was a feature on RCT and I was just obsessed with the gate! As I’ve become an adult who’s still a nerd for parks, I’m not that fascinated by it. That’s the only California park I have not visited, mainly because X was always down and didn’t feel like it was worth it because that’s the ride I want.

1989 grad here and YES, grad nite was in SFMM! My most memorable moment was a bunch of us going on Roaring Rapids at night!

I graduated high school in 1996. I've been going to magic mountain since the 1980 and sometimes it seems that they are cheap with certain things. I used to work in the Palace Arcade, which part of it is now the Fright Fest maze 666. This maze still has the same linoleum on the floors that was there when I worked there in the 90s.
Awesome update today, I have a theory about the rumored rollercoaster. I think that the park is gonna wait until the solar panels are done and then get to work on the golden bear theater site, but also the idea of the attraction opening in 2026 is also a possibility. But just saying just a theory

Free fall was so much fun.
Im in Vegas and our shopping center Townsquare had these same umbrellas for the summer but they had to take it down cause of unpredictable weather like strong winds which caused annoying maintenance.

Will somebody please give the park a few million for upgrades? :) Yes, to a covered roof over the Jet Stream bridge! A bamboo-like covering or wooden pergola would look good there or even a nice hanging canvass would be better than those umbrellas!

Hey I was there yesterday. Yes, it was grad night. My grad night was there… let’s just say Colossus still had the double down camelback.
Graduated in 04, how is the Justice League dark ride doing, still looking good or is it getting run down? I Used to go to six flags a lot but hated when they began to put TV’s and ads everywhere, just makes the park feel cheap.
The guns barely work, the screens are usually not synced, and they don’t take pictures anymore. They don’t make you wait in the reshot anymore but they started playing them again so you can watch them as you walk through which is cool.
They should add more trees and umbrellas with seats for shade. Too hot there in the summer. And more water rides. Where you get relief from the heat. Misted, cool caves, splashing water. Lol, just a thought.
I would love a new water ride at the park. Hopefully one day soon.
Graduated 2002. Didn’t attend but our Grad Night took place in our HS Gym, but if they had it at Disneyland or SFMM I totally would have went!
I did Disneyland when I graduated. I know some people that went to MM and said it was pretty cool.

There is a coaster event in Nor Cal June 16-23 and a meetup at magic mountain afterwards. I read somewhere about some announcements on that day. I don't know what that means but I'm wondering if it could be related to the new ride. 😊
You can tell there will be a roof since there are key holes to hold something in on those beams.

They are probably just waiting for the roof to be delivered and putting up the umbrella's is just temporary. I'm sure that when the two Companies/ Six Flags and Cedar Fair start working together they're will be improvement's not until next year.

My one time in Hurricane Harbor all the black tunnel slides were closed! Dylan, I love how you’re ripping these parks apart! 😂 Six Flags is so damn CHEAP and progress is slow as molasses! Granted, the solar parking has moved pretty quickly. Yep, 2026 coaster for sure…. Yawn! 🥱 😴💤🦗 What the heck is with that red wall with one Wonder Woman logo slapped on it? 🤷♂️ Those umbrellas just crack me up too! Omg…
One solution is for the company to have less nationwide parks, but more quality investments per park! We’ll see what the merger does. Cedar Fair has a lot to offer I think!

I went through the Saw Maze last Fright Fest. I was not impressed. Yes the sets looked great they only had 1 scare actor following you throughout the maze.
Let’s hope they put some more performers in it for this season.
With your season pass, don't you get a certain number of line skip passes per visit so you can ride even when crowded? I'm lucky to be a Diamond Elite VIP Legacy Member, including the meal plan. (yes, I'm flexing) so i get 4 skip the line passes every visit. But i thought even newer passes had one or two per visit.

I have been six times in 3 Months but every time Wonder Woman is not running 😢 At this point we really do not trust this ride.
They might be waiting on parts for something. The ride is still very safe at the end of the day. Remember you’re more safe at the park than driving to the park.

Sadly I was there Tuesday. End if year Middle School. Everything was average 35-45 minutes Tuesday. No new attractions at Hurricane Harbor aside from the new seating/cabana's however it's truley sad they can't staff their park with all the season passes they sell and then claim they can't afford the staff or evenn security for that matter. Even worse 55-60% of the major attractions stayed closed. Wonder Woman was down. Like why did I buy a pass?
"I don't want to see Magic Mtn go down the path of being cheap" ... that path hath already been well trod.
True but to keep going down that path would be a horrible move.

Those umbrellas are useless as any sort of shade. They move around too much and don’t cover enough area.
And I don’t understand why Six Flags built the exact same bridge when they could have used the opportunity to build something different and modern. It looks 1970s-ish still.

LOL at the umbrellas 🤦🏻♂️ ... IMO SFMM only has 2 world class rides with Tatsu and X2, everything else is meh. I haven’t been back since before the pandemic and would rather save my money and book a trip to Cedar Point every summer.
I still have not forgiven the staff for the way I was mistreated my first day of my season pass. I will give them this. When they said your experience in the park would be memorable they were right. There is no way that I can ever forget that first day. This park would have to do something really special in order for me to renew my season pass next year. What would you think if you bought three items online, the Diamond pass, the season Flash pass, and Fright Fest only to be told to go to the Will Call window where the only thing that person can do is give you the Diamond pass and then not tell you that you had to go to Guest Relations to add the other two items onto your pass topped off with Guest Relations not informing me that I had to finalize the Flash pass at the Flash pass building? I was so fed up with the park that I only rode two rides and did not return for Fright Fest.
