A quick tutorial on how to change the image in a widget by using blueprints. This can be applied to any currently existing project and the image can be changed by copying the example I use in the video.

Thank you so much. You're the only video on TH-cam that actually taught me the right thing.
Thanks for watching and supporting the channel.
THANK YOU!! I was trying to update a PIP using a SceneCapture while already swapping the main camera and it took me forever to find the proper tutorial. Thanks again!
Glad it helped!
Thanks for the video!
I had trouble with the IsValid node, like it always was saying that default value is not exist, but I set the texture variable in game instance and used it by "cast to game instance" node
it worked
Glad it helped!
This is great. I didn't know you could split the return node pins and that was the one step I needed to complete my level select menu.
Accurate and fast. Thanks for the vid!

Thanks!!!!
No problem! Glad you found the video useful.
I tried this system in my project, but I noticed that what is the first image for you, namely the red cross, remains in the background. It is not visible because the new overlapping images have a black border. I used the same system in my project as I wanted to change the sights of a rifle in a game. Since my sights have alpha, I noticed that the first image always stays in the background, and the new ones are overlaid. Do you know another way to completely replace the first image?
Creating sights and a crosshair is completely different as that's a whole image that would cover the screen.
Bruh
Can you make a tutorial on that too?
? Is Valid doesn't populate as an option. Was this removed?
for me too
When i reopen this widget, image of gun not seaving. How to fix this?
Try re-watching the video and let me know more details.
@@JustAGuyProduction I believe the comment above is about the image not saving if the widget is closed and reopened. This is something I am currently trying to work out myself for a project of my own. I change the UMG button image using a sprite, but on reload the image is reverting back to the default one. Would it be possible for you to explain how to do this, or even a tutorial if you know
@@loucas781 if the widget is closed then the variable will be reset. You would have to save the variable in a save state or a global variable. That would require a whole other different video.
@@JustAGuyProduction a video on this would be amazing if possible
@@loucas781 thanks for the recommendation
