- In this Signal Colors: Primer, I'm looking at the Dirge Electronics Slowly Melting, a very ripping fuzz delay that shreds anything you put through it. It makes drums NASTY in the best way. Watch me torture this Syntakt and let me know what you think in the comments!

Ha! Cool!
This sounds so awesome! I have two Slowly Melting so I can do it in stereo. Still I rarely use it on drums. I will have to try that again now. 🤩
Yes! That would be awesome. It's expensive going stereo by buying two pedals, but if you like something enough - it's worth it! That barrier to entry means you'll probably end up with something kind of unique too. I'm planning on picking up a second Draume so I can go stereo with those - someday!
Yeah I believe his double melt are $600. It does sound unique on drum machines though 😊
@@Duskmos ooh double Draume is a flex!
@@subatomicwarp he’s got a double melt drop coming soon. Maybe I’ll try to score one. 🧐
it was really fun watching you realize in real time like "oh, weirdly when you have 'melt' all the way up it's basically the only way you get a clean tone.....guess the blend is for....something else?"
Loll yeah man in these Primer vids I just dive in and see what's what. This pedal is wild and gets nasty with or without human intervention on the controls lol.
The blend knob mixes in the Blend/ Fuzz. All the way left is "Clean" ( least amount of fuzz). All the way right is "Full Fuzz" ( there is still modulation in the signal)
I run my Acidlab Bassline thru it sometimes for extra gritty squelches.
Nice! How do you like that? I've looked at the Acidlab as well as the DinSync Re-303. Will probably pick up one of the two sometime in the new year.
@@Duskmos I have both and I find the Bassline is far easier to program than the RE-303. Also if you can find a XoXBox that would be another good option. Beware of second hand RE-303s tho if you go that route, make sure you get actual videos of the owner programming in a bassline.
