They are incredibly similar in my opinion. I feel like Reinbacher has better edge work and defensive vision but definitely the offensive upside of Levshunov are higher
I'm a huge Habs fan and I don't watch that much junior hockey, but from what I've seen I place Levshunov in front of Reinbacher by quite a big margin. Leshunov's defensive game is not as good as Reinbacher as of today, but will it be the same in 5 years? I see a bigger capacity to progress in Levshunov. And offensively it's not even in the same league.
Really?! There are probably 5 D prospects in this draft that would be taken over Reinbacher had he been in this draft class. Levshunov’s upside is a true #1 D and I just don’t see that with Reinbacher.
Dude, the games I've seen are incredible. He's an amazing skater, great passer, great shooter, has an active stick. Dude is just extremely solid all around. Absolutely weird how certain channels still comment on how he "Takes crazy chances" considering he always skates his way back to position anyway
I think his decision making is a valid critique. He's inconsistent with it. Sometimes he makes the exact right play, and other times he does make some terrible reads. He has all of the tools you'd want and his coaches have talked about how hard of a worker he is, so in all honesty there isn't much to critique other than his hockey IQ. The major limiting factor for his future in the NHL will be how well he can think the game.
@@Isaias-v3x 17 year old who got better and more responsible throughout the year. This is a normal thing for even highly touted Dmen, hence why it usually takes them longer to get into the league.
2:12 he does not force the attacker to dump, the attacker wants to dump to change, the attacker had a lot of room actually and I don't like how long Lev is reaching in this position instead of moving his feet, puts him at risk of being deked on and/or blown past
he doesn't even skate hard for that dumped puck, like the dumper isnt going for it but the other attacker is and he seems like he's not hustling on defense
I like his defensive game but I'm not sold on his upside. That's a lot of good not great traits that would need to be coached up. Maybe he can get there but I'm not seeing anything elite from Levshunov. Top 3 seems a little too early for him imo.
He just seems to only hustle on offense and he doesn't get back, a great #3 similar to Seth Jones but I just cant wrap my brain around why the hawks seem to be leaning towards Lev over demi
He seems very solid overall, and maybe a great safe pick to go for. Although, depending who is available when Levshunov gets picked, it could be a massive mistake. I just think about old drafts where very solid defenseman were drafted extremely high over guys that had 10x the talent and could impact the game way more. I do believe Levshunov could be coached and developed into a great defenseman, but that is also what other GM's thought in the past when drafting certain defenseman top 10.
Whenever I watch him play, I feel like he is Soooo soft or non-chalant. Like… you know for a a fact he has that strength & power in him. But it’s like he’s just lazy & doesn’t Feel like putting on the jets. Very frustrating player to watch.
I felt the same thing. Especially that play along the boards. He almost reminds me of Bouchard with oilers. Very offensive minded but defense is lacking. No sense of urgency and lazy defensive plays. Silayev looks way better if you watch his videos.
I’m really not sure of his hockey IQ I don’t want my Habs to pick him. Every year, there are busts in the Top-10. I feel like him, Silayev & Helenius will be the biggest disappointments. They’ll play in the league, but will never be stars Kotkaniemi plays in the league, but we still considered him a big disappointment, because In COMPARISON WITH the picks taken after like Brady Tkachuk & Quinn Hughes… KK is point blank Awful. Same for Barrett Hayton. I see a similar disappointment from Levshunov, Silayev & Helenius
Honestly hope Hawks don’t draft him. Looks underwhelming and makes low IQ plays (cross checking that player repeatedly till he gets a penalty, no look breakout pass in front of the net, those one touch passes he keeps trying to do, etc.) I’m sure he’ll develop nicely but right now I don’t want to see him in a hawks uniform.
He’s awesome and I think he’s gonna be elite in the NHL but Chicago has to pick demidov. Having an elite RHD would be nice but we have so much defensive depth and prospects but we need a winger while all our elite forward prospects are centres ( bedard, nazar, Moore all Centre)
Welp I’m back and we picked levshunov lol not mad at alll demidov is still gonna be a great player and we may say I wish we had that guy on our team but levshunov is gonna be a cornerstone piece WELCOME TO CHICAGO
Not impressed. I don't seriously see anything so special. For me Buium is way better, faster and better hockey IQ. Really hope the Habs draft Buium if still there at #5. Then we can trade one of our top D prospect for a good young forward.
@@dansrod5952 He has x2 points than Owen Power in his first ncaa year. 15 more points than Makar and 6 more than Quinn. Who is more offensive defenceman?
Jesus. All he does is coast around on D and then he’s the first man forward for a breakout pass? As a defence man? He looks like he watches a lot of top offensive guys and tries to copy them but his brain isn’t smart enough to do it himself. There’s no way this is a guy that is considered a top 5 pick in the NHL. Maybe top 5 in the OHL. What is this guy?
Watching Levshunov makes me feel better about the Reinbacher pick. While they are different players, I'm seeing more in Reinbacher than in Levshunov.
They are incredibly similar in my opinion. I feel like Reinbacher has better edge work and defensive vision but definitely the offensive upside of Levshunov are higher
Lev is way better than Reinbacher.
Yeah he's basically a more skilled Reinbacher

Do future Hab Berkly Catton next
He's on the list!
Nah it was demigod
Levshunov seems more concerned about offensive activation than defending in his own zone

bof I don't see that. Have you checked the other D like Buium, Dickinson, Yakemchuk, Parekh? They are all better imo.
Great video👍

I guess to put this in simple terms, I think it can be very risky to pick a guy who you know isn't that great at any one element of the game.

stickhandles the puck into a triangle. i pray the hawks dont take him
Over rated in my book. Zeeve Buium is the sleeper for me.

Sucks that the Blackhawks picked him. Looks like he doesn’t even try out there
