Rarely in history do you come across an individual where all these attributes can apply to the same person, as they do to the great Imran Khan.
I have the privilege of knowing this person for over 40 years and can say without any hesitation that any person with even 10% of his attributes would be regarded as a success. I don’t have the space to go into details, but I urge those who don’t have knowledge to research his life beginning with his cricketing history, his philanthropic history, his social welfare work his marriage and divorce (the judge’s comments at the divorce settlement) and even his relationships and the regards they had and still hold for Imran Khan in, this will help you understand the greatness of Imran Khan. He is the least materialistic person you will ever come across and he himself will acknowledge he is far from perfect but his greatness lies in the fact that he genuinely tries to be better then he was the day before these are the traits of true nobility.
What he is trying to do in Pakistan in my humble opinion is far greater then even what the great Quaida Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah achieved (the founder of Pakistan), many will be horrified by this statement but in M A Jinnah’s time, their was a genuine appetite and public support for what he wanted to achieve and even encouragement from the establishment at that time as they were recovering from the consequences of the 2nd world war. Compare this with Imran khan, yes he enjoys popular support but look at what he has against him, the most decedent and corrupt establishment (army, judiciary and certain feudal chiefs) and 2 corrupt family mafias zardari and sharif who have corrupted every level of the civil service for the past 40 years and to top that these internal enemies have the full support of the West and the super power of our time the USA to keep Pakistan unstable you only have to read what the USA think tanks say now and have made that a policy for over 70 years to acknowledge this fact (read No Exit from Pakistan, by Daniel S Markey). If Imran Khan is successful in even putting us on the path to the road to recovery and free of the influence of the USA and their puppets, his achievements will far surpass even those of M A Jinnah.
I hope these traitors of our country don’t deny the people of this chance as a fearless leader like Imran Khan does not come even after several generations! To the general public his greatest trait is his unconditional love for Pakistan and its deprived citizens. His unparalleled patriotism is at level rarely seen in this materialistic world, he sacrificed the life of luxury, which his marriage entitled him to, to the daughter of the 10th richest man in the world in 1995, his family and children for the love of his country and his subsequent conduct and what most people who know him and even his own wife and children say and his response to the judge for the reasons for his divorce are a witness to this fact, we Pakistani’s should feel privileged to to have such a unique leader. I will end with another quote from another great leader of our time Nelson Mandela “I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel fear, but he who conquers that fear.”
