- What's up TH-cam fam! Enjoy this break down and real doctor's reaction to the first episode of Scrubs TV show. Medical School for me was filled with three awesome pastimes. Lazy Sunday lunchtimes watching scrubs with my medical student flatmates. Revision session marathons topped up with watching House MD at the end of the day and of course, the guilty pleasure that was Greys Anatomy (well only up until season 3 or 4).
In this one, I break down the iconic pilot episode of Scrubs to see if it hold up to what life as a doctor is like and how much medical accuracy it has. Scrubs is the wacky goofy show that makes being a junior doctor look like a day chilling with ya mates.

Scrubs was a great comedy series with a massive amount of heart. You could laugh out loud one moment and cry in another.

An interesting one for being in the UK is something like Call the Midwife. Though the focus is on midwifery of course they also cover many other medical issues like Cancer, meningitis or Polio as well as famous tragedies like the Thalidomide crisis. It shows how far medical knowledge and practice has come in the last 60 years

i knew a girl that had to quit being a doctor because her beeper gave her anxiety attacks. she tried therapy. didn't work.
The other best episode was the chain of infection two parter. It should be shown as part of an infection control training day. It's tragic and funny at the same time, showing how easily an infection can spread through poor habits.
Thats one of the episodes that sticks with me and the one with Brandon Fraser.
