Great round on an unknown course in testy winds. I did notice the greens were still recovering from a recent aeration and on 4 or 5 putts the ball was affected; a bounce that bled speed or moved ball offline. Great stuff. Keepem comin.
Dude you were crushing your drives...off the tee in general really - fun to watch. Beautiful course and you played it very well. Really enjoyed this one Alan - great round.
We play a lot of these courses you’ve played on golf trips yearly. We stay in the cabin to the left of number 16 at Bald mountain. Dirty dancing pics all around the downstairs game room.
Played here in October, was in fantastic shape. I thought the course was really fair, shot 90 which was my goal. Partner had 85. Can't wait to play it again
Father has a friend from high school who lives on the course, played here a handful of times. Definitely one of the best public options around, if you have deep pockets. Got it as my #2 favorite purely public access course I’ve ever played, behind Sequoyah
Great shooting Alan, very jealous with all the gorgeous courses you play, mind you there a few good ones here in Ireland but weather is too miserable to get out and play. Anyway great stuff😉👍👏⛳
The funny thing about sky valley is that its private too, 5k initiation fee, and like 350 a month or so.... To me it's odd since its a public course too.... I dont get the strategy.
@@PerfectlyAverageGolf According to the website its basically wide open. i'd assume members get first shot at it maybe.. but heck.... first year 9k roughly and i have to share the course. i'm baffled buy it.

Yeah a little bit of recovery going on but largely the wind proved most treacherous!

Yeah I had a few hot rounds with the Driver; that's been missing lately tbh lol
Great video. Looking to play here on a buddies trip to North GA. Conditions look so good. And you smoke driver!
Hahaha we were hitting it well that day, it's a super fun course and definitely one you can play multiple times and not get sick of! Enjoy!!

Ah how awesome! This area of the country has just unreal golf all over the place

Agreed, the layout definitely kept me guessing but was a really really fun track
Good job Alan. Short game working for you.
It comes and goes as you know hahaha

Yeah it definitely is one of those that is a once in awhile type of plays, definitely pricey. But boy was it worth it!
Where is sequoyah is that the one near cherokee?

NGL it's a treat to be in the mountains like this on a regular basis. No shortage of great views!
Of course you are having fun.....you are pounding that driver.
Haha it comes and goes
Great round man. For not knowing the course and it being rated 74 I feel like that's great. And almost 7000 yards. Beautiful looking course for sure.
Yeah I couldn't have been happier with the finishing score considering the course + the wind lol
When you say "into the fan" do you mean into the wind? Cool round.
Haha yeah
that's a beauty. i'll bet that was pretty pricey
Not that bad. I thought it was fairly priced
@@PerfectlyAverageGolf but worth the price i'm sure. best one you have played, imo

Yeah it's like "semi-private" so it has SOME open public tee times throughout the week, but not many I guess

Any chance you would say cost and location of the course?
It's in Sky Valley GA and it was like $80
@@PerfectlyAverageGolf thank you good sir. I do enjoy your channel .
❤️❤️
25:12 love your videos can you please do one from Smokey Mountain CC
I've moved away from Asheville but if I'm back out that way I'll be sure to try and stop through there for a round!
I really appreciate you taking the time to get back to me and what part of the world do you now call home
Does anyone know how long this course takes to pay with a twosome early morning tee time?
I had no issues when I was out here. Right around a normal 4 hour round
