One of my biggest joys in my life (and many others) is coffee and the best tasting coffee is moka coffee. Great balance in between intensity and flavors. But not just taste, the design satisfies my eyes, and preparing it for the stove is like a religious ritual, and seeing the first foam coming on top is a very unique experience. Big respect to Alfonso and Renato. May they Rest in Peace... ❤️☕️
it should be added that the octagonal shape is VERY practical, it helps you get a grip and unscrew the reservoir base to make some more QUICKLY when the whole thing is still hot. I have circular stainless steel versions because I use an induction hob, you cannot grip the base with a towel to protect your hand while it is hot - you can with the octagon!
Thanks a lot for the observation! This is really fascinating and you certainly underline an underestimated element of functionality in the moka. Thanks again! ☕️
My brother-in-law is Italian and he would always like to point out I wasn’t drinking espresso, it was Moka. Is this a common feeling amongst Italians or is it coffee snobbery?
Hi Everett, i Just call It "caffè", never used the Word "espresso" in Italy, that i use only whn icm abroad. Also moka Is an alternative ti "caffè", although less used. At least from my personal experience
Nice discussion

a Moka pot isn't an espresso machine.
If you simply ask for a ‘café’ in any Italian bar, you’ll get an espresso by default.
@@ElibelDublin caffè 😊
First thing I do when arriving in Italy is to go straight to the airport coffee bar and get an espresso 😀
Same here! 😊
When I think about coffee, I think about the French existentialists
Nice video. Very interesting.
I like the relaxed pace.
P.S.: I think "genial" is not the word you meant :)
