The "rise" being just ep 1 is crazy to me.

@@OK-69420 I don't have a clue what made you think blue lock had better storyboards. The episodes are practically just a bunch of pngs being panned over the screen or some awful cgi animation. Good storyboards are dynamic, or even if they have limited movement, the composition and scene layout is built in a meaningful way that is pleasant to watch. Blue Lock lacks all of this.

I feel bad for both the fans and animators getting screwed over by adult swim.
For the people in replies asking about one piece fan letter, the answer is NO. He didn't make it because he didn't watch one piece, and fan letter special episode required for you at least watched the entirety of pre time skip, hence there's no video about it. He mentioned similar when people asked him to make video about Gear 5 / Episode 1071.
he actually started reading one piece a while ago and was up to water 7 i believe? or an arc around that. he said a few videos ago that one piece was “excellent” and better than naruto and bleach.
I watched it and i havent even started one piece and i think it was incredible

I wouldn't be surprised if Nagahama was responsible for Episode 4 as "Series Director". Though I'm curious if he possibly went NC?
Dimitri Seraki has had contact with Nagahama for many years on infrequent occasions. He wrote online about how Nagahama did do correcting work for Ep 1 & 4, so I wouldn't be surprised if time simply caught up with them and led to an incredibly rushed project that didn't allow Nagahama to do an absurd amount of corrections as he did with Ep 1.
That's probably what happened, it was a Fugaku production (same as EP 1) and one of the EDs was the same as EP 1, so it seems likely. I avoided mentioning that because if Nagahama went NC, it was for a reason. As for "episode director studio Massket" IDK lol. Usually talent is named alongside the studio.
It's also fair to say that Seraki wasn't the purest source of info as he did hyperbolically state that Nagahama "corrected and redrew every scene on Ep 1&4". While very likely true for the former, perhaps his last contact with Nagahama led him to believe that was the case for the 4th.
It's all still super, SUPER speculatory still, which is annoying. I hope a clearer idea comes out in the coming months as I would like to imagine some people want the facts laid out.
@@ProbablyPretentious If you're making a four episode show and are told that because of budget or whatever two of the episodes are going to suck, then picking the two middle ones to suck is the best case scenario I think. At least that way you start off strong and you don't leave people at the end with the worst impression. It's a big damn shame either way though.

I’m convinced junji ito will never get a faithful anime adaptation, not because it’s not possible, but because the time it takes is too long for the committees comfort.

I feel like if the series ended up being of the episode 1 quality as a whole and 5 or 6 episodes long, it would have been quite great.
I can't see how adult swim is related to any of these problems. Space Dandy looked absolutely incredible and adult swim is not the main reason for this.

It's watchable if you like the content present in these episodes 'cause you never get anime like this nowadays. Anyway, Lazarus is associated with adult swim, if there are problems with that show - you would be able to make conclusions

You really need to work on your narration, every single line does not have to be delivered in a sing song up and down voice with an inflection at the end of every sentence. It sounds comically bad compared to rest of your content which is pretty good.

@@DECADE-001 the scene where momo is standing on the stairs and talking to Granny, her head phases through the top part of the entry, which isn’t supposed to happen. It’s nothing major tho, can be ignored easily.
