As a former Christian i was raised in a fundamentalist home where premillennial dispensational eschatology was of major importance.
I would not be surprised at all if my parents think this current war is deeply tied to the end times given that they remain fundamentalist Christians.

It’s not just fundamentalist evangelical Christian’s that are watching this time with interest.

    • @tamararutland-mills9530
      @tamararutland-mills9530 ปีที่แล้ว +1

So what if they believe that this is an indication of the end times? Are your parents your excuse for leaving Christ? There are many Christians who are not fundamentalists. I too have left many fundamental beliefs behind, but I have not left Christ.

    • @_S0me__0ne

@@tamararutland-mills9530 I didn't leave because of my parents. I'd come to the realization I no longer believed for a variety of reasons, but it was all focused on the veracity of the Bible and the claims of Christianity.
I did however have a lot of anger and trauma I had to work through after I deconverted that was due to my parents. Being raised in a fundamentalist home focused on the end times and Jesus coming back at any moment.
I had to deal with disappointment in myself that it took me forty odd years and until I was nearly 50 to critically think about what I believed and be honest with myself. Nearly 50 years old to set aside expectations that my parents, family, friends, and society put on me about my beliefs and faith as I dealt with decades of choices made as I pushed aside cognitive dissonance and biases believing, wanting to believe and forcing myself to fake it when I wasn't sure.
I did blame my parents for a lot of it, but at the end of the day they were in turn indoctrinated. It's a cycle perpetuated for millenia.
My parent's eschatological beliefs colored so much of how I was raised and how they view the world and others. It got to a point I couldn't stand being around them, even as I shared their interpretive beliefs because it was sweet and gross at the same time.

@@peteroliver7943 I barely see my parents now and haven't for years.
Were it not for his dementia I'd have a better relationship with my father now than when I was much younger and a believer. Religion made our relationship contentious and very difficult. I was close to my mom when I was young but over the years I drifted from her. Her ever growing fundamentalism drove me away. I find it very difficult having conversations with her since I deconverted and want little to do with her.
Would I like to have a closer relationship with my family? Sure. Do I have regrets? Sure, but not about my distance from my mother. I'm at peace with choices I've made over the past four years.
And I'm at peace with the likelihood of just ceasing to exist when I die.
And if heaven exists and if god and heaven is like what my mother believes, yeah, I don't want anything to do with that.

I’ve been a Christian my whole life and have read the Bible from cover to cover in Aramaic translation into English by Lamsa and New Jerusalem Bible side by side. The longer I live and the more I understand and have learned, some of it from you, I rather think that prophecy is a worthless pursuit. Why humans do this is silly in my opinion, except for sheer amusement. Floating prophesy indeed….. I am a person who gets glimpses sometimes of things that happen the following day, but these are curious glimpses that are curious when looking backward. I have interesting dreams sometimes too that provide insight steered by my subconscious, and are sometimes a glimpse into events happening within a day or two. But, I would not live my life forward according to these glimpses. Long term predictions over 50, 100 or thousands of years is ridiculous in my opinion. But, the other thing that bothers me is that some people try to force things to happen in a certain way to make a prophecy come true. Just my opinion.

The Bible is a book which makes Yhwh responsible for everything from the smallest ...what you eat for breakfast (manna in the desert) to the greatest ( let's cross over the sea with no boat) from the worst (immediately after the Ten Commandments Yhwh commands Moses to kill hundreds of his own people) to the best (neither shall they learn war anymore). This fatal flaw (both literary and theologically) then makes the Bible very unreliable as Yhwh is not responsible for everything (I am assuming we're not living in a computer simulation where everything is controlled by the gamer). Then what's left ....?...... the prophecies

Great lesson once again! Thank you.
It is even possible that several different people were describing the exact same vision, but all have a different focus to what to point out and what to forget.
On top of that, if it was an event in current time that they saw then back then there were no words for the things to call it correctly.
So they had to describe things with their own vucabulary, wich makes room for alot of misunderstandings.
This means that when things look the same they might actually have been different in origin and the other way around.. only time will tell.
Not to even forget the loss of meanings of words over time and through translations.
but if this current war ends up in turning to the greatest evil and injustice the world has ever seen all will be able to feel it and feel Allknowing's knowledge of good and evil without a doubt!

    • @sandramiller7972

The 'last days', 'time of the end' and 'end of the age ('world') refers to the time of Temple destruction and the desolation of Judah and the tribal system in 70 AD.
This set a precedent in the physical that then repeats for us, post 70AD, in the spiritual.
We are not to look for a physical Temple, but realize that believers are being 'bulilt up as lively stones into a spiritual Temple' which YHUH inhabits ny His indwelling Holy Spirit.
Any physical hype is a distraction to keep you from finding a 'man of sin/lawlessness' in your own heart/mind (temple).

      @MyChihuahua ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@tradersquarter Well, I didn't just make it up! That is how I learned it - through actual reading and study with the guidance of the Holy Spirit. It's obvious since hardly anyone actually teaches these truths today at all.
People may claim a perverted version of this - 'dispensationalism', 'spiritual Israel', or 'Israel only' type doctrines, but those do not reflect the full truth from the whole counsel of Scripture.
I will refer you to Matt 23:37-38, Gal 3:28 and Rev 2:9.

      @tradersquarter ปีที่แล้ว

@@MyChihuahua there is a physical temple that will be built in the last days. People like to "spiritualize" the Bible or make it allegorical, which makes it of no effect. The anti-Christ is real. Preparations are being made now for the physical third temple in Jerusalem. The abomination of desolation is not allegorical. And neither is the book of Revelation. Dealing with sin in one's life doesn't negate the prophecies in the Bible of what will happen in the world and to Israel. They are not the same. And to suggest they are is a gross misinterpretation of the Bible.

after the theological adjustment mentioned in Psalm 82, the other gods of the nations were demoted as “mortal” gods. From this adjustment, the Hebrew god became the only universal god, according to the new Hebrew theology. This restructuring of divine sovereignty facilitated the worship of YHWH by those residing outside the land of Judah, whether Jews or the rest of the nations. It is because of these well-negotiated adjustments in the new theology that the next psalm, Psalm 83, could now affirm what was written in verse 18, according to the Berean Standard Bible: “May they know that You alone, whose name is the LORD, are Most High over all the earth”. All this applies only to the time when YHWH was made a universal god.

The idea that Islam wants Palestine to be free of Jews is not correct. Islam has always accepted a Jewish presence in Palestine. The problem came when the destitute survivors of the Holocaust were not afforded refuge in countries where they would be safe, and, instead, enabled to illegally immigrate to a defenseless land and displace the legal residents there.
The victors of WW II have only themselves to blame for the current situation in Palestine. They could have given every Jewish survivor a passport, a travel voucher, and a housing voucher but failed to so. That is the real anti-semitism.

Too true. A Semite is NOT a Jew. The Jews/Hebrews are the smallest group of Semites -- a Semite is someone who speaks an Arabic language. Linguists used to call the language group Arabic, but Zionists & Christian fundamentalist Extremists paired up to lobby linguists to change the name of the language group to Semitic, named after Shem, whom those two groups believed, in all their implicit racism, was the father of all white people. Ham, the accursed, they believe was the ancestor of all Black people, and why they should be slaves. Japeth was considered the ancestor of Asians & Native Americans. Once the word Arabic was changed to Semite, the Jews then claimed the term only applied to them, not anyone else in their language group. It is called the weaponization of words. Anti-Semitism is a racism that Israel is guilty of, because Palestinians are Semites, as are Jordanians, Lebonese, Arabs, etc.

The term "Semite" comes from the Hebrew word "Shem," which means "name." It was first used by the ancient Greeks to refer to the peoples of the Middle East who spoke Semitic languages, which include Hebrew, Arabic, and Aramaic.
The term "Semite" is now used to refer to people who are descended from the ancient peoples of the Middle East, including Jews, Arabs, and Assyrians. It is also used to refer to the Semitic languages that they speak.
The idea that Shem is the "father of all white people" is based on a misinterpretation of the Bible. The Bible does not say that Shem is the father of all white people, or of any people group for that matter.
The Bible does say that Shem is the father of Semites, but Semites are not the same as white people. Semites are people who speak Semitic languages, and there are many Semites who are not white. For example, Arabs and Jews are both Semites, but they are not all white.
The idea that Shem is the "father of all white people" is a racist myth that has no basis in fact. It is important to be aware of this myth and to challenge it when you see it."

If you are looking for a latter day Prophet in the manner of Daniel or Hosea, it would be hard to beat Abdullah II of Jordan in terms of his observations of the bad faith of Netanyahu and the Likud Party in regards to the Oslo Two State Accords and the Hamas theater.
You raree looking for shit in the Bible as part of your agenda to discredit Jesus when an actual King acts like a Propht-King of the Hebrew Bible.
YOu don't have any idea what is right in front of you. King Abdullah is not a "floating prophecy" but predictive in real time and in the here and now. Abdullah called it and you're trying to create an unnecessary mythology.

kind of loses me at 22:30 when he is reading a prophecy that mentions " the God of Israel ". They hate the God of the Israelites.... I was under the impression that monotheism was about a single creative force and if so then how can this creative force be the " God of Israel ".
It can as long as it doesn't become an instrument of war for a particular cultural group.
I ain't no expert in theology but i stand firm on the idea that Israel was never meant to be a limited bordered nation, a prison of sorts defended by nuclear warheads, but that the genuine Nation of Israel ( a State of Mind ) is the universal realm where true children of creation rapture ( adjust their Robes and Vestments - existential rules ) and become at peace with themselves however bad the social situation is ( does not mean they don't defend themselves ). True Children of Creation was never meant to mean the Jews but it was meant to be anyone who believes in the monotheistic religious philosophy and not so much on the interpretation of interpreters of wise doctrinal works.
That sort of stuff seems to fit into certain scriptures that note Israel as being somewhere in the midst of light and dark ( neither east nor west ).
Hope someone figures it out b4 there remains no one left on earth to worry about it.
Been wrong once b4 so DYOR.......

      Jesus' teachings are the Way.
      Matthew 5.44...
      Luke 6.27...
      John 13.31...
Many take his name in vain.
      The Prophet suffers similar abuse.
Peace and grace in your house. Love from USA
