I havent played the piano since I was 8, but this piece has always been close to my heart. Thank you for giving me the chance to hear it again.
You are welcome! I am glad you liked it.
I'm still learning this and I love this so much! Well not exactly learning just practicing
This is so cute I have a hard time believing it's Bach...the harpsichord version sounds like something out of a Japanese video game. I love it!
Well it isn't bach, its from a book bach made for his wife te learn to play the piano. Bach didn't write this, petzold did.
@@martijndekogel2826 The author is unknown, it may be by Georg Phillip Telemann. Bach may have written this, but that seems doubtful.
@@alexlatham6836 Bach would have never written something so simple.
@@roberacevedo8232 he wrote prelude in c major which is the easiest song, easiar than this. Of course his most notable works are his simplest
@@AK47_414 My "simple" and your "easy" are not the same. When I say simple, I mean simple in composition. When you say easy, you mean easy in technique. C major prelude is NOT simple in composition but it is simple in technique. This piece is simple in composition, that's why I said it couldn't be Bach.
This was the first Bach piece I’ve ever learned.
Nice!
Same
My first was mineut in g major, such a beautiful song!
SAMEEEEEEE
same here-
That was the first piece I've ever learned on the piano. Back then my hands couldn't cover an octave comfortably so this was really hard sometimes. But it's a fun piece
Exact same with me
Это тоже была моя первая пьеса, которую я выучил на фортепиано. Но я пошел в музыкальную школу в 58 своих лет. И мои руки покрывали больше октавы. ;)
My left hand was easily able to cover the octave within a few weeks
My grandmother used to play this on her piano when I was a little girl. I just remembered it enough to play the melody by ear on my kid’s keyboard, played it into an online audio search engine, then looked it up here once I had the name. Wow! The memory is an amazing thing. My heart is so full to hear this again after so many decades have gone by! 🥰
I had to learn this for applied piano lessons in college...twas a beast to learn honestly.
I’m playing this piece for fun before I start on my grade three. Am absolutely loving
The Musuette is easy, i thought it was difficult also but you just need to learn the left hand first then the right hand & bring it together with both hands slowly thats how im learning it. Its a lovely piece of music. You will regret it, if you dont have a go. Google this as a tutorial, then you will be happy you did. 🌟🌟👏👏
I wanna put this on an endless loop.
Haha... maybe you like that? th-cam.com/video/uyjVL22I7uk/w-d-xo.html

@@wolfgangmarkusgstrein8522 Familie Petz! That's how I know this song! It was on ORF TV in the 90s.
After five years I’ve finally completed this piece without failing any notes
Played that ages ago. Don't want to know how bad it sounded back then, but I'll defenitely try it again

Having listened to a few renditions, I see how if you don't get it just right, the jaunty quirkiness disappears. This is played right.
I played this in a spring concert couple weeks ago, made a mistake but it's fine no one noticed and had a great time
I think I played this piece as a part of Bach's Anna Magdanella collection. Anna Magdanella I think was Bach's second wife who collected Bach's manuscripts. This piece was number 15 in that collection. I love no 2, 4, and 20 too.
Thanks for sharing! Yes there are a lot of beautiful pieces in the collection.

It's too fast so don't worry about your tempo.
@@michaeltraub3614 its not too fast youre too slow, i dont wanna be mean but bach put it this fast so you have to play it this fast otherwise your making everything too comfortable and you don't progress. btw it sounds better when its fast
its part of the difficulty lmao mee too
@@michaeltraub3614 just realized she wrote that 4 years ago

Thank you!
The perfect happy piano melody💯✨👌
It’s 1:11! Make a wish!
I’m playing this song right now and I think I got the speed down but I just need to get the notes right. (it’s tough to keep the speed consistent but you’ll get the hang of it)
Jaden Pina lol
I wish that you get alot of likes on all of youre vids
Here is some advice. Play it slowly until you can play it 3x in a row perfect. Remember to use a metronome. Then, gradually increase the speed every time. Repeat these steps many times until you get to this speed. This may seem hard, but work hard every day and I promise it will pay off. Do your best, don't stress. I believe in you. You can do it!!!🤗🤗😄😄🤭💞💞💕💕♥️♥️👍👍
Also, make sure you learn the notes, write them in, practice it perfect before you speed it up.
This piece of music is from Notebook for Anna Magdelina Bach (Bach's second wife). It is unknown who exactly wrote this since this book contained music written by J.S.Bach, his wife and his two sons.
This piece sounds really fun! Great work!
Thank you Rosie! I am glad you liked it.
The last week I started this song and is incredible!!! :)
Played again after 23 years, January 06, 1997, now March 27, 2020 😁

@@gorgolyt as a matter of fact, Mozart is an amateur composer besides Bach.

Would Meyerbeer have composed part of his Coronation March with this piece in his mind? I see an intriguing resemblance between them.
Play at 0.75 speed
perfect for an anime op if mixed in with pop materials
This is so not Bach but is. I have to learn this piece. The circus comes to the cathedral.
What do you mean by "the circus comes to the cathedral"'? Thank you.
?
I tend to associate Back with deep, mellow organ music and other 'sacred' material. This seems like something you might hear at a circus.
I Love it.
Started playing the piano a while ago, and this piece came up in the second alfred book. Then you look it up how its meant to be played and it suddenly sounds alot better when you play it twice as fast, maybe in a few years I can play it like this 😂
Lovely
I am learning this rn
C'est "mignon" et plutôt moderne pour cette période !
I know how to play it but the problem is the speed. I can't do it that fast and our recital is near. Help me?
It's not necessary to play this piece at breakneck speed. A musette is a type of dance similar to a gavotte. (Check out examples on You Tube; they are slower.) The way it's played here is not dance-able. I suggest listening to the tips offered by Jenny Macmillian and Josh Wright.
Work work work & practise practise practise no other way 😊
Practice 40 hours a day like ling ling
This is my Recital piece but for me it's a little bit EASY

Probably not by Bach himself. In his notebooks, old Bach usually collected pieces of contemporary composers. This was usual in a time where very little printed music was available.
