in those days this kind of matter was taken place as usual.
That's not Bach. The melody is taken from the Alessandro Marcello's oboe concerto. Bach did only the arrangement for keyboards.

"BWV" can be translated as "Catalogue of Bach works". An arrangement is also a work and Bach did a lot of them. "BWV 974" designs the arrangement of the complet Oboe Concerto (not only the Adagio) of Alessandro Marcello by Johann Sebastian Bach. You can find all three movements of "BWV 974" played by Glenn Gould in TH-cam, for instance.

@@willmartin3067 The theme: D min, G min, C maj, Fmaj7, Bb maj, G min, A maj and D min. It appears often in Bach's work, in his fugues for example. In the popular D minor fugue as well.

Bach is maybe the Best Composer Who Has ever lived but in my opinion the Master of simplicity and complxity is Schubert

Gould's interpretation is the best. You'll easily find it. But then I'd recommend listening to the original concerto, too.

Mike Oxlong where I grew up, there are music schools where you could learn playing instruments and singing if you payed for classes. It was different from tutors because they taught us not only playing instruments but also some useless things like history of music.

Don’t be so shocked. Have a listen to the second movement of his Italian Concerto, he also wrote occasionally in this style.
You seriously need to get some education. Or at least look at the piece where it indicates it is Bach's transcription of a piece by Marcello. It is a Baroque piece written by a Baroque composer, transcribed for keyboard by another Baroque composer. This was a common practice of the time. Handel, for example, stole music from everyone, including himself.

1:47 at bar 20 last note we have a D with a down mordent. The notes played are D-C-D. 3 notes before we see a sharp on the C. The mordent would sound better (correctly) as D-C#-D instead of a C natural as played.

BWV 974 is not a piece composed by Bach. It is by Allesandro Marcello. Bach only transcribed it for harpsichord.
