When this showed up in my youtube feed, I wondered if you were going to record Carcassi Op. 60--EVERYBODY and his brother seems to be doing it, including your neighbor Bradford Werner. So I looked, and...there it is! Congrats!
I knew you looked familiar--now I remember watching your recording of Alain Reiher's 20 miniatures--really nice, and Alain is one of the nicest guys around.
Good to hear a well played Giuliani etude set, he wrote a lot of good etudes, mostly under rated now. Maybe you can record Op 51 and some other Giuliani etude sets. No 13 in this set is like a mini drama but you play it in a fairly restrained way, which is probably more correct stylistically.
Fantastic video Michael! I was wondering how long this project took you . You seem to have them off by heart too ? I’m curious to why you decided on this venture? Just personal satisfaction or for students /teaching ? Do you think learning this entire work has sharpened your technique?? Again great video ! I listened through it all and really enjoyed it
Thanks Alan! I had played No 11, 12 and 13 before, and enjoyed them, so thought I would check out the entire opus, ideally for both personal interest and as reference for students. There were indeed many fast arpeggio passages that were a good technical work out for me. I usually memorize around 2 or 3 of them at a time, and then move on to the next few after recording.
Me parece grandioso este estudio de Giulanie.
I agree! There are many great pieces in this opus.
Great Playing, keep it up, really enjoyed this recordings
Thank you!
A really excellent interpretation of Giuliani.
Musically and technically wonderful. Thank you for sharing this. 👏🎸🎶
Thanks for your comments Wolfgang! :)

Thank you, the Carcassi etudes are really great! It's not hard to see why they are so popular!
That was amazing! I have always looked for any complete interpretation of this opus and now I found one.
Thank you, glad it is helpful! :)
@@MichaelBemmels Did you use any audio interface in this recording?
Estupenda obra. Estupenda interpretación.

That must have been quite some work, even when these are called easy. I enjoy listening (still in progress)
Thank you Bert, Yes, about 7 months of practicing for me to get through it all!
