I think next season should just be the 'year of ASUs'. Get some of the oldest, jankiest looking champs and give them a face lift! IDK how long it takes but i'd hope they could do one every other month, if not every 3 months. If 6 whole new champions can be made in a year we can get every Zilean and Chogath updated in that time!
pleaaaaase let it be cho gath, cho gath please. i would love to play him more but even with a skin he is so clunky to look at. and his skins could be great with new animations, it's not that he is lacking good skin concepts, it's just that all of them are severely held back by his base.
Legendary Skins not beign touched had already happend with Cait and Ahri. In the case of Ahri, they did not even fix her Tails for SG and SB. I can understand why, but it really devalues "Legendary" Tier Skins compared to the remade lesser Tiers. I think that they should just touch these Skins up later between ASUs.
I think Lee was/is fine compared to other champions that require an update way more than he does. Didn't hear anyone complain until now that the update is announced. And some skins aren't changed for the good in my opinion.

Yes there are overusing the squash and stretch in the newer animations. Every character looks like there made of rubber. feels like there checking off boxes without looking what there doing
I enjoy new mechanics in champs. I still want a champ with an ability that bats skillshots and projectiles back at the caster. Something like yas windwall, but not "out" as long. Something that you have to have decent timing to use. Maybe even have the champ have some kind of boomerang-ish style q that they can use the bounce back ability to send it back out again, almost like juggling, just once of course.
I'm afraid of the bugs for that one. I mean, can the enemy Lee then Q to himself? How does this work with Briar ult? Does the Nautilus ult then simply change directions and targets Nautilus? Does Lilia get damaged and healed from her own passiv when you bounce back the E? And does she fall asleep, when you bounce back the ult, even if she's not marked?
@@lubue5795 Can't imagine there not being a relatively simple answer for all of these. There's already this sort of "what if" scenario for things like windwall.
@@WillieTheAutomaton That's entirely different, though. Windwall just delets the projectile. That's much simpler than having to figure out how exactly the projectile is bounced backed and what follow ups this enables. For example, what would happen with Sylas ult? When he throws out his chains to steal an ult, that's a projectile. Would you then also steal an ult when you reflect it? And what spell would that stolen ult replace? Or Urgot ult. The chains he throws out to drag you in and execute you. Would it also be possible to just execute a full life target if you reflect those? Isn't that far too OP?
@@lubue5795 sylas ult. Easy. It just windwalls it, since it does no damage. It just bats it back and poof, done. urgot ult. Also easy. Not sure where you're getting execute a full hp target. The concept is that it bats back the damage. Maybe even the form of cc (e.g. slow, stun etc. If we can differentiate this for moves like fioras riposte, then this isn't even new.) Anyways, it would bat the projectile back, but nothing about his ults drag and execute is mentioned here. It would bat it back, do a chunk of damage and be done. "Too OP" is such a goofy thing to say when there's so many spells in the game already, and it's not like the concept wouldn't be ran through a ton of testing and "balancing". Like, come on.
As a lore fan, but also a concept artist, I really LOVE everytime they add a new champion for the sake of new stories, new music and new really cool designs Riot never fails to give (yeah, even Smolder is good). But god, I'm praying I still be alive when they realese the Zilean ASU with his LoR design. I don't even play him, but honeyfruit looks waaaay better than his base model lol.
I feel like malphite should be an asu and a mini rework at the same time, but not a full scale gazillion years vgu, maybe like a lesser mundo rework? there's some potential to modernize his kit like his Q's trail/fissures can leave a slow zone for a few seconds while the boulder gets larger as it travels, adding more damage or cc duration (ulting in the fissure path can make the ult animation slightly faster) his W and E can be combined, kind of like a gorilla ground rampage, maybe like vi's e but it's 3 stacks, three auto attack resets that is aoe and a temporary growing ability at the same time, each successful hit can make the range/aoe radius larger. a new third ability, something like malphite plants his feet below the ground then taking hold of an enemy (caught between a rock and a hard place), maybe a single target close range root, malp literally just grabs the opponent and both just stay in place, during the grab, malp can hulk slam loki style by pressing the new combined W/E. or if that doesn't work, maybe something that relates to petrification, it could be to empower other abilities, like malphite just imbues himself with erosion/petrification magic, basically just use the ability then ult, instant aoe petrified. or use the ability then Q, petrification zone. or use the ability then new combined W/E, aoe petrification. ult stays the same. idk about the passive, maybe add mr on top of armor. It would feel nice if malphite got that ap bruiser treatment, not just full ap nuke then die, or just pure tank ult then do nothing. It would be cool if malphite decently survives and is actually participating in the middle of the fight instead of just waiting for his cue to just aoe cc wombo combo
After waiting for years, I finally got my new mid lane mage: Hwei. Now I just need another Rengar looking guy who is a tiger, a fighter, and not an assassin; or a proper minotaur with an axe.

It could be a cool gunslinger, perhaps an assasin. I'd imagine something like Samira and Lucian's kid
what would diferenciate that system from just akali, samira or rumble?
no.
the ultimate looks sick to me
the kick was so beautiful to watch
Despite not being magical champion or with any flashy superpowers, Lee VFX is so vibrant and beautiful and can be actually seen. So, why Akali have basicly no VFX at all ? Her only clear visible one is her passive that is only for her to see, and her shroud that looks the same across her all skins :( One day, they will do ASU for her too and give her actual VFX, please let me dream !
As a Lee Main I think this might spark new motivation to climb again
title: "why everyone loves lee sin asu" - continues to quote people hating the update.
there is so much wrong here dont get me started.
rip spirit guard, rip muay thai, rip lol.
I think the ponytail identity is really clever, it kind of resembles the dragon side of Lee. With the physics it could imitate a dragon tail.
I got a heavy "Look how the massacred my boy" feel from this ASU.
massacred?! he is miles better
@@magical571 I get it, Its just that I'm not a fan for some reason. I prefer the old VFX :/ I know they look technically worse but there's just something about them I prefer more
They’ve been doing this with every ASU, where legendary skins get left behind. Which is kinda scammy that they still cost more than cheaper skins with better animation
Never in my life have I ever confused any lee sin skin for something else lol
I think next season should just be the 'year of ASUs'.
Get some of the oldest, jankiest looking champs and give them a face lift!
IDK how long it takes but i'd hope they could do one every other month, if not every 3 months. If 6 whole new champions can be made in a year we can get every Zilean and Chogath updated in that time!
pleaaaaase let it be cho gath, cho gath please. i would love to play him more but even with a skin he is so clunky to look at. and his skins could be great with new animations, it's not that he is lacking good skin concepts, it's just that all of them are severely held back by his base.
Morgana will forever be my favorite update.
Muay thai Lee sin will put the fear of Wang in you.
15:34 it's actually a mythic (scam chroma) legendary, not a prestige skin from 2022 (They stopped doing those kind of prestige skin)
Also, Acolyte was always 750. Traditional is the one that was updated from 520 to 750.
They should throw a towel over his shoulder in the knockout skin, itll be close enough to the ponytail.
My Teemo ASU can’t come fast enough.
Updates to old champions, asu and vgu, have more often been positively received by the community compared to new champion releases
9:33 This happens with every ASU and VGU... not surprised any more. lol
I was waiting the entire video for him to mention the new Muay Tai splash art shenanigans.
im so confused ?? what happened
Legendary Skins not beign touched had already happend with Cait and Ahri. In the case of Ahri, they did not even fix her Tails for SG and SB. I can understand why, but it really devalues "Legendary" Tier Skins compared to the remade lesser Tiers. I think that they should just touch these Skins up later between ASUs.
as a Teemo main I hope omega squad Teemo's auto attack is like firing a gun
I'm a Lee Sin for 8years now and for my opinion on the matter, Riot murder my boy (In Muay Thai mode)😭
I love these kinds of changes. Still waiting for vladimir and shyvana vgu.
I think Lee was/is fine compared to other champions that require an update way more than he does. Didn't hear anyone complain until now that the update is announced. And some skins aren't changed for the good in my opinion.
3:43 I can't be the only person that can't unsee the weird stretching in his shoulders and abdomen. it's like he's got a piston for a torso, it strangely extends and compresses. I love the asu, don't get me wrong. but am I the only person seeing that?
yeah it's squash and stretch, it's one of the fundemental rules of animation.
Yes there are overusing the squash and stretch in the newer animations. Every character looks like there made of rubber. feels like there checking off boxes without looking what there doing
The model is not supposed to be seen from that perspective, it's better seen from top down
I enjoy new mechanics in champs.
Vex originally had this when she was an artillery mage: reflecting projectiles.
If we can differentiate this for moves like fioras riposte, then this isn't even new.)
Anyways, it would bat the projectile back, but nothing about his ults drag and execute is mentioned here.
I didn't expect a big dragon with Smolder... I expect Spyro not a Yuumi with wings
Now i have to look into the retweets Necrit
Teemo ASU with a slight rework is needed. If he has its Wild Rift skills it will be a solid upgrade
They were finally Lee-Sin-ing
I feel like malphite should be an asu and a mini rework at the same time, but not a full scale gazillion years vgu, maybe like a lesser mundo rework? there's some potential to modernize his kit
like his Q's trail/fissures can leave a slow zone for a few seconds while the boulder gets larger as it travels, adding more damage or cc duration (ulting in the fissure path can make the ult animation slightly faster)
his W and E can be combined, kind of like a gorilla ground rampage, maybe like vi's e but it's 3 stacks, three auto attack resets that is aoe and a temporary growing ability at the same time, each successful hit can make the range/aoe radius larger.
a new third ability, something like malphite plants his feet below the ground then taking hold of an enemy (caught between a rock and a hard place), maybe a single target close range root, malp literally just grabs the opponent and both just stay in place, during the grab, malp can hulk slam loki style by pressing the new combined W/E. or if that doesn't work, maybe something that relates to petrification, it could be to empower other abilities, like malphite just imbues himself with erosion/petrification magic, basically just use the ability then ult, instant aoe petrified. or use the ability then Q, petrification zone. or use the ability then new combined W/E, aoe petrification.
ult stays the same. idk about the passive, maybe add mr on top of armor. It would feel nice if malphite got that ap bruiser treatment, not just full ap nuke then die, or just pure tank ult then do nothing. It would be cool if malphite decently survives and is actually participating in the middle of the fight instead of just waiting for his cue to just aoe cc wombo combo
So the takeaway here is: Muay Thai Lee Sin ponytail is his eye wrapping? They raised it to high on his head in the splash art.
chogat and corki crying in the corner
Question, Who would someone mistake Knockout Lee for? I don't think the ponytail is needed for clarity for this skin.
After waiting for years, I finally got my new mid lane mage: Hwei.
Now I just need another Rengar looking guy who is a tiger, a fighter, and not an assassin; or a proper minotaur with an axe.
This ASU makes me regret rerolling my Nightbringer Lee Skin shard.
couldn't Muay Thai Lee Sin have palm trees pattern on his shield? (since they removed the palm trees from the always visible part of the splash art
yooo I never noticed Lee Sin had a ponytail on his model.
akshan i no doubt in my mind my favorite champion gameplay wise and personality wise. 10 of 10 voice actor
One thing i hate about storm dragon lee sin is that if there's him and a kayn with the white hair skin on a team fight and one of them comes at me, I can't tell which one it is.
Why no ponytail in knockout Lee sin it's because you don't need long hair in boxing which is the skin thematic
7:49 wait didn’t he used to throw a dragon before?? That’s a FAT nerf
I dont get why they didn't make the scarf of knock out Lee sin drag behind him like the ponytail if that was there focus in readability.
idk how to feel about the ponytail with storm dragon tbh
Still waiting for my glorious king talon to be updated
