- This is a custom built large double track Ho layout for our Friend Mike. This layout has a yard as well as a branch line serving lumber industries. The Layout is meant resemble Union Pacific railroad with a Montana scenic flavor. We incorporated models, trains, and ideas from Mikes uncle and his own personal childhood memories to give the layout a sentimental quality.
The layout was designed for operation. You build trains in the yard and service industries along the branch line.

I don’t think that I will ever forget watching a Big Boy bringing a train of vehicle parts into Shelbyville Freight Depot, all destined for my cousin!!
Nice! I think I'd spend a lot of time, at least initially, letting a couple of trains run on the mainlines, with me doing switching on the branch line.
Wonderful steam sounds!! Absolutely my style, but in the British form!! I spent a fortnight with my American cousins who owned National Automotive Lines in Shelbyville, Indiana.
Is that not a model of a Central American curve called Horseshoe Curve? It’s a gorgeous layout, wherever it is!!
Boy Howdy 🎉
Every Early Baby Boomers dream layout.
How so. All the retro cars and such?
Is the one going from north to south a Big Boy? I saw one of those at Shelbyville Freight Depot.
Did I spot a narrow gauge line up on the hills? Does it represent a heritage railroad?
