It's really as comfy as you make it lol, it is extremely fun tho! I usually use a lot of thick, grey blankets and it makes it really nice. I love reenacting
I just bought one and attached the 4 quarters together but I cannot work out how to attach the ropes that came with it. Any help would be appreciated!! :-)
Difficult to describe with text, but try to look for books or videos on tent ropes and knots. Could even look for vintage or WW2 rope and knots. Sorry that I can´t be more help. But maybe I can show it in a future video if you have something special in mind and what kind of trouble you are having with the ropes.
@@JohnsonTheSecond When units set up camp, the would use four zelts to make a tent. But you can make different covers with different amount of zelt. There are some good WW2 photos of zelt tents made out of multiple zelts. And also a nice foxhole cover with just one zelt. So you would rely on your unit members with the other zelt for what kind of setup you would want to do at that time.
I got two triangles too. I like low tetra closed configuration and the bivvybag cornett configuration.
That actually looks quite comfy

@@Deutche_Reenactment I know my comment is four years old but I recently started doing this with a USGI rain poncho and it works great as a shelter
A good video, I love this splitter camouflaged tent sheet and have it lying around somewhere.😊
Thank you! :)
Great Vid, been looking for a quick tutorial on how to use them.
0:22 that set up looks nice
Thanks! :) Good in windy situation.

The rope you mean I think is for in the middle holes to attach a peg

Needs two zelts, would people have two?
Yes every solider would have one, so two unit members could use this setup. And that is reenactment unit ;)
@@nordicfront1942 so for one person, would you need to borrow a zelt? What would he use then? I assume it was rarely used by just one person lol
