With actual instruments music this might be the case, but with electronic music it won't. Electronic music ages differently from instrumental music. Over the years electronic music always gets more complexity, more detail and higher sound quality. This means old electronic songs age very very badly. Just ask yourself: Do you call Nirvanas songs a classic? probably. But do you call some 80s techno artist songs classic? Do you even know any 80s techno artists? It ages bad and doesn't sound good anymore to people who are used to a new up to date sound. Yea, that might sound sad but it is truth.
