i loooove cold weather. it makes me feel so alive and connected to everything. my mind feels like it's in hyper mod and getting that freeze bite on the skin (winter tan as some call it) makes you feel like you're a part of nature. you're paying the price willingly, and stay unyielding even thought you know you're far less..mighty? it's that unconditional love. that moment when your dog bites your hand, or your cat scratches you and you let it, happy for its strength. i just hope one day i will be able to feel it with a person

I cant tell you how many times I've watched this, and every time it motivates and inspires me to keep shooting. Chris Burkard is an amazing lens story teller I am so grateful to come across his work.

You did it justice!! If I would have watched this short movie first, I would have wanted to go there and put it on my bucket list as a photographer. But I actually already went before watching this movie and can say that you did it great justice!
I can only imagine how hungry those guys were after getting out. Growing up on the Oregon coast there is nothing that will make you hungrier than surfing in the winter time and that is no joke but the food and beer always taste better after you get done getting your ass kicked by 10 to 12 ft swells and cold air/water.

Lofoten Norway really is breath taking. Had the opportunity of camping there 2 weeks and still my favourite place I have been to date. Reine is stunning and I do believe some is filmed on Kvlavika Beach which is a very remote and isolated area with some of the gnarliest waves on Earth!

That's true. And this is so beautiful. Absolutely stunning job by the surfers, i cant even IMAGINE what it takes to go out there, water at like 40 degrees and just so that but it's so so beautiful. Surfed here before, i grew up in norway, yes its cold the first 3-5 minutes- but you get hella hot in those suits when you move around. your body heats up the trapped water to over body temrature, so you are wearing a hottub.

I brought my surfboard up to camp for fall crew here in ontairo, just the feeling of paddling is magic to me no other feeling just laying there on your board! I cant surf here but just paddling is great stress relief for me.

Great story, photography and people!!! Ang great inspiration as wel. I used to make videos and love surfing. I have been thinking to start shooting in the water. Now I know will go out and do it. Thank you so much. Life is short and we are somehow loosing our connection with nature sometimes. A lot of people have no respect for nature. Very sad.

These bays & little stub rock out- croppings are apparently in Norway. Off the beaten track for most. I had no idea people ( motivated people) were doung this. Very humbling.
