That are some great points you bring up. I am using the standard 20s (not evo) and yes, I failed to test it with the new firmware prior to replacing the speakers. Good news is, mrs 2wheeler has a new set of speakers that I have purchased for her, and have not installed them yet. So I will check her speakers before and after upgrading the software and see if there is a difference in sound, with the old speakers + new firmware, and with the new speakers + new firmware. The HD were louder...Couldn't hear the bass sound much with the song selection. At only $40 I think its well worth upgrading. We both use 20s so this will definitely be a plus.
Yeah, it's hard to hear it in the video, but there is definitely more bass. I played some hip hop & reggae and could hear a significant difference. How you guys been?
Unfortunately, Sena doesn’t make them for the SRL version in my Neotec 2. I don’t think the speakers can be unplugged from the rest of the kit. Good thing I’m not that particular about the sound quality, so I’ll just have to wait until the next version!
Hey Mark, did you do the updates, to app and headset? Also, confirm that your bluetooths audio (i'm assuming your phone?) is turned up. The first time I connected my phone to play music,my volume on the phone was turned down so it played low. Once I turned it up, it was fine. I can't think of a scenario where the FM would play louder then your bluetooth. Let me know how it turns out. It you want to troubleshoot it together, send me an email to mrandmrs2wheeler@gmail.com and we can setup a call and figure it out.
@@markgant That is strange. Have you tried the different EQ settings? I found that mid boost sounds best to me. The bass boost sounded lower in volume.
I got the 30k n its hard to hear but soon as I go on the highway I can’t hear anything but wind n bike. I ordered the SENA HD speakers n a 2022 Suzuki, waiting on both 😂😩😭✌🏼🐉🇺🇸🐉✌🏼
Is hard to tell in a video, the speakers your listening to make a difference, but I can assure you there is a big difference. Especially the volume levels. Thanks for watching

As a metalhead I did notice a sorely and sorry amount of detail, and existence of any bass in the originals... Muffled, and horribly tinny sounding using the 10c Evo Ive been wondering for months now whether to upgrade or not. Hmm
Hey Stephan, the software makes no difference with the old speakers, so it would have sounded exactly the same. But still, you're right. I should have done it that way for comparison sake. thanks for the comment.
Great video Mike, personally I don't use sena or my phone when riding, if some one wants me they can wait and I stop riding. I believe it's a distraction that can kill you, I prefer to hear my engine and total concentration on the road for all the nuts driving there cars. Guam Kid 🙂
Thanks Guam kid, I agree it can be a distraction, but on long trips it is also very useful. Being able to check in with a loved one, call to book a room, or call for help in an emergency, and the right music can add a lot to your ride. Stay safe buddy.

You're right. A friend of mine purchased the Neotec 2 and we had to remove the entire kit to install a Sena 30k at the time.
I keep waiting for the NEXT version of SLR before pulling the trigger. Its been a long wait.
I got mine & wasn't much louder at all using my phones Bluetooth but was much louder using the FM radio within system.

How did they work? Is it worth the upgrade on the 30K I have the 30k and have same issues, want to get these, was it worth it?
Sounds the same to me. The test for me would be at max volume the stock has distortion.

I thought so at first, but they were just as comfortable on a short ride. A longer ride will truly tell.

Do you ride with earplugs as well and if so what brand?
I use earplugs when on longer rides, no so much for short/local rides.
The brand is nonoise for motorcycle.
