That was spectacular, as to find a way to explain to someone the back ground of battletech...........that would be damn near perfect. I am glad to see others keep the dream alive.
Not a bad intro to the Clans. You've pretty much covered the basics on how they came into power, but now they have to struggle with their inner turmoils. One clan will dare challenge the very belief of the Clan Society as a whole.
Great video. One small correction, House Steiner was known as the Lyran Commonwealth before the merger. When Katherine Steiner broke her part away from the Federated Commonwealth, she renamed it the Lyran Alliance.
Minor error: The Lyran Alliance wasn't known as such until after the Clan Invasion and the split from the Federated Suns/Commonwealth. Before that, they were the Lyran Commonwealth. I think the Federated Suns went back to calling themselves that at some point, too.
Hey man, these videos are really good for the time they came out. I've been reading a lot of the BT wiki and learning the lore and was thinking about making a lore video. Your series is the only out there with a cinematic presentation and its incomplete. I've been thinking about finishing this series, maybe even redoing these two episodes you have. I plan on making it at some point, but I thought if it was going to be a continuation of yours I should ask. I plan on continuing from the invasion of the clans all the way to the dark ages, and I also want to make a prequel that goes over how the fusion drive was invented and how the inner sphere was first formed. My old channel was 666elementface666 and some of my later stuff has some decent basic editing if you're curious about my abilities. Let me know, see you in the trials :D
Although I haven't read all the books I think this is a good idea. Even "Shrapnel" would make the basis of good stories to base a solid script on. I feel that like many people without "the heart" or background in the game would simply make it a formulaic commercial venture.
Not bad, not bad. I like the video. What music is it in the background? But you made a small error: The "Lyran Alliance" was called "Lyran Commonwealth" in the time between 2500 - 3025, which is covered by your video!
Unfortunately the Huaptmann wasn't made until the FedComm civil war, almost 12 years after the Turrkiad Truce. So at this point the Thug, Dragon, Victor, Awesome, and Atlas were the pest choices from what the games gave you.
Hello Mortarion12 I think you made nice video. I am not as big fun as you guys, but I would put a Hauptmann instead of an Atlas to Steiner's part of the video.
actually, they should have Michael Stockpole or Blaine Pardoe write the script. that would be awesome. Also, Microsoft no longer owns Mechwarrior, Wizkids and Smith and Tinker own it.
I love the video... cant stand the clans.. I thought they were the WORST thing that happened to the game.. they ended FASA. And battletech as we knew it. Played since 1984 WELL before the clans.
Again...Nicely done!
Many kudos for a job well done, Mortarion12.
This is just excellent. An outstanding work by a talented young man.
I could watch this over and over. Shocked to still see it here. Still one of my fav battletech videos.
thanks! that means a lot :)
I don't plan on taking these down ever, if I can help it.

Really nice. With your permition, I'd like to use this vid as a story-intro for an RPG I'm currently playing with my mates.

a battletech movie with transformers-grade CGI would be the most awesome thing to happen to battletech ever
If there would be a big Battletech movie, I'm sure it'd have to be as epic as the LOTR and original Star Wars trilogies.
I enjoyed this video and may use it for my mechwarrior campaign so thank you
The thing I love most about this video, since I knew most of the history already, is the music. Where did it come from?
woho,3050,The return of Kerensky BOO YEAH!!!
You might be able to see this on a wiki but it will not be presented in as cool of a way. I think it was well made
I don't care what anybody says. The telsa II pod game was years ahead of it's time
I think it's name is "Big Foot" From Command and Conquer: Red Alert. (The first one)
Unfortunately the Huaptmann wasn't made until the FedComm civil war, almost 12 years after the Turrkiad Truce. So at this point the Thug, Dragon, Victor, Awesome, and Atlas were the pest choices from what the games gave you.
EXCELLENT!
very well done.
very good work
long live house steiner
Hello Mortarion12
I think you made nice video. I am not as big fun as you guys, but I would put a Hauptmann instead of an Atlas to Steiner's part of the video.
Sorry forgot to write which book(s) would you base the first Battletech movie on and why?
The beggining music was C&C Red alert
then Battlefield 2142 menu
Excellent!
Command and Conquer music at the beginning. :D
Another words, it would be worlds better if you narrated it instead of it being a text based picture show, that being said nice job.
mmm I hear you used "Big Foot" theme from Red Alert... :) Good taste, 5 stars
They wrote up the script but no one has touched it yet, like the Halo movie.
@adamant356
I thought that about the Transformers movies until I saw them.
Lol Bigfoot from Red Alert ?
actually, they should have Michael Stockpole or Blaine Pardoe write the script.
that would be awesome. Also, Microsoft no longer owns Mechwarrior, Wizkids and Smith and Tinker own it.
hey where do I know the Music from??? Battlefield 2142 or Freelancer?
whats the music at the begining?
Couldn't get passed the Feudal Government part - when the first part of it is blatantly wrong, can't watch the rest of it.
GO FEDSUNS!
You know very little
