The characters used in Japanese for Luffy’s lines are used when Oda wants to show a character doesn’t know what he’s talking about, indicating he’s mimicking Jinbei, and even says lines very similar to Jinbei’s speech that wouldn’t make sense in the context of the current scene because they made way more sense when Jinbei said it
I thought Luffy's formality was inspired by Jinbe joining the crew in Wano? Both of the scenes and poses are very similar, and I could totally see Luffy copying that pose to express similar gratitude.

perhaps he was actually referring to shanks twin, which would make this a way earlier setup than we thought.

And in the God Valley flashback Garling spoke to somebody off panel and referred them as children, meaning more than one child. That’s when I believed that shanks more than likely had a twin brother that was at chapter 907.

I'm convinced King Harold's "last request" was another Oden situation where things aren't as they seem. I'm convinced the wish to make the Elbaf giants "peaceful" is to actually make them more "docile" so that they won't be ready to fight when Ragnarok comes, and they can be wiped out.
One more interesting part you forgot to mention was how the book(s) in that library are gigantic now, maybe it's a hint that giants were also once ordinary humans after all.

@@ddenozor Yes, but if there is a mechanism which can make books larger then there must be one which has made humans giant as well. we already know there were failed experiments on it through ceasar, perhaps this was actually achieved in the ancient kingdom which made humans larger and similar technology is now being used on the books.

I think Bad Shanks was the one who actually killed former King Harald, and not only framed Loki, but did something to him to make him talk as if he was truly bloodthirsty, and when the Good Shanks rolled up he helped in apprehending Loki. This also in turn can explain why Loki has such a massive distaste for Shanks.
If you notice the back ground where the Bad Shanks teleported to you can clearly see it's the throne room, and it has a massive slash mark on the throne, caused by who ever killed King Harald, and this Bad Shanks managed to not only teleport to Elbaf, but exactly in front of the throne. We also know for sure Elders can travel between places 1 Elder is, or HAVE been such is the case with Mars since he was able to travel back to Mary Geoise after being sent off flying.

Here’s the thing about the clone. It’s not Stella it’s the Vega punk that left Ohara
This would mean it’s not connected to punk records , doesn’t have the years of knowledge that Stella gained since then, and more importantly is a really good literary device as somebody who would ask questions to Lilith that Luffy would never care to ask
After all Lilith knows much more than this clone and this clone is going to wanna be caught up

But it was never stated or implied that this clone can’t connect to Punk Records or that it’s knowledge is 20 years behind. Also, it’s very unlikely that Vegapunk the perfectionist would have made an exact clone that didn’t have all the same abilities as himself if not more. Or at least update it over the years with recent info.
If this clone only has knowledge up to O'hara that could be pretty interesting. I can't remember but did he even know Kizaru then? Quite the mind f for Kizaru if they ever meet!

When I first saw that Elbaf was having a cultural shift away from it's martial history my first thought was 'The World Government is trying to remove the fangs from Elbaf to conquer the giants', I think this will end with Usopp inspiring the next generation of Giants into finding a middle ground.

When you remember that Bonney has gained all of Kuma's memories it's possible to get those out due to Kuma's powers.
What if King Harold was actually working with the WG to weaken Elbaf and Loki found out about that corruption which is why he killed his father? Perhaps Loki will be freed and will actually be the first to fight Frank and lose terribly to showcase Frank's power so that Luffy can save the country.
My only problem with this idea is that it might be difficult to get a satisfying end with consolidating the new giant philosophy and the old ways. But Oda could definitely do it by, for example, having Hajrudin and Loki be the symbols for each of those philosophies and with them coming together to fight that external threat they might find a compromise between old and new ways.
This is getting out of hand... Now there are two of them!

One thing people always overlooked was why the govt wanted vegapunk to work on clones.
Plenty of other scientists could make clones . But only vp could figure out how to remove their will.
Personally i think the govt have always wanted to make clones of powerful people . And that way they could control them by raising them from a young age and indoctrnate them but when that didnt work it caused problems for the govt . Shanks is an example of one that got away from them and developed his own way from his own experiences

Twist: King Harald wanted the new giants to despise war because he knew that a war was coming and he wanted to weaken his own forces for the world government. Loki found out about this and offed him
I was thinking the same.
To me that explanation is not possible because at the end of the day, One Piece is a way for Oda to convey peace and tolerance messages. So i'm convinced that Oda's final idea will be for the Giants to really turn into a peaceful people and stop the war cycle. At the same time i really think that Loki is kinder than we think, so i don't see yet how everything will make sense.

Interesting, I'd like to see this happen. This reminds me of the Whole Cake Island arc. When Totto Land was first introduced, at first, I thought maybe Big Mom does have a soft spot for her Kingdom. Until the hunger pangs, Big Mom's personality showed, Pound reveals the darker side of Totto Land, and people mean nothing to Big Mom unless she gets what she wants.

It already happened when the smiling, rose-glasses-wearing Doflamingo came and usurped dressrossa by posing as the hero over the royal family. Flipping this so the smiling, bandaged-eyes Loki getting incriminated by the world government would make sense. It also tracks that despite the smiles and vacation fit, Mingo was all serious business while Loki is nice under all the violent talk.

The reference to Loki's kindness made me think that Loki's ideology might be "Crush your enemy before they can hurt your friends".
Maybe that is his way to protect his people and it would fit a character that grew up under Elbaph's old teachings. It could also explain why Harald and him clashed in the end.

Downplaying Shanks when Oda himself said that Shanks learnt Divine Departure at age of 10 by himself, not even the Roger’s pirates crew able to do it even the legendary Rayleigh.
Theory -- What if Frank/Pranks is actually a Garling clone? It would make sense as to why Oda shoehorned in the Stella clone to help stir the reader's minds of "oh yeah, he can do that." Garling could have asked Vegapunk to clone him or artificially produce him a new son since Shanks--the heir to the Garling name and the successor of the bloodline--went missing at God Valley.

Luffys speech to Saul also reminds me of Jinbeis return in Wano. He does the same pose and even uses the term "fledgling". Seems like some of Jinbeis mannerisms are already rubbing off on our rubber man.

It reminded me of some theorie that the reason you shouldn't stay on Elbaph is that you will become bigger. But I don't like that. Also getting bigger is one thing but what about the books getting smaller outside the library?

My favorite idea for a further twist: This Shanks twin also has a claw scar over his other eye. But he got this scar on purpose to be able to frame Shanks for whatever the Gods Knights want, as well as serving as an excellent bonus for espionage into any country allied with Shanks
What if those two Holy Knight's are sent to Elbaf because someone snitched on the Ohara books being there? That storyline could potentially lead to them trying to destroy Elbaf and maybe in the process Loki could ask Luffy to free him so that he can protect his island as he is the heir to the throne and with that we could see Luffy and Loki teaming up as the "Godly Duo", also something I want to add is that womanly figure we see with Shanks' twin seems a little nervous or kinda disturbed about perhaps their mission while Shanks' twin is locked in. I'm talking about her eyes btw, if it wasn't clear.

I wonder how they were able to get to Elbaph without someone summoning them. Saturn had to summon the other elders.
It could be that it's like a Minato from Naruto situation, where there's some kind of talisman in place but hidden. I wouldn't be surprised if Shanks or his twin brother either rolled up alone or impersonated him with a decent disguise and set some kind of teleportation thing then just left.
Saturn landed form the ship on the actual Egg-head island via a circle on his own. Maybe for shorter distances, they can teleport themselves. Or it could not be precise without one of them already present at the location that can summon.

It could possibly create a sense of purpose inside her to Liberate every Pacifista, Seraphims included, which would lead her to the RA where she’d be one of if not the greatest weapon in their arsenal against the Celestial Dragons

I think Kuma is revived and sacrifices himself again within the arc to save bonny (maybe with bonny, or even lufffy, turning him into nika maybe as his last wish or because he hasn’t improved/needs to move to save himself).
Also, we only know that Vegapunk can revive people with some degree of consciousness rn which makes me think that Kuma might not be able to be brought back. I think if Kuma dies again he will actually die . Lilith and bonny are also likely to get targeted rn being more or less alone while the others are scattered around elbaf

The Reverie was new, the “empty throne” and Imu were newly introduced, and, most important, Sanji was back on board the Sunny as master chef (right where he belongs). So now, over six years later, having it confirmed it was NOT Shanks but a Figurland lookalike in that chamber?! Mind blowing. Makes me wonder what this holy knight and his lady friend have in store for Elbaph.

All Vegapunk does is put his “soul“ into another clone. The same thing he already did with the other 6 clones. I think Oda made it very clear that „“death“ means something totally different for Vegapunk. Clones, souls, Punk Records, all the dialogue that hinted at it (especially Mars asking himself what death even means to VP looking at his huge brain). So this is not a fake-out death situation at all. This is a matter of reading comprehension.

No, it's not. No one's arguing it's inconsistent, or it doesn't make sense. People argue that oda writes characters to have a moment of sacrifice or a death scene have charecters in the story acknowledge and then proceeds to reveal to the audience that they've been alive all along and negate the impact the sacrifice has on people. The Egghead handling of death makes sense. Vegapunk thought a lot about the concept of death. Of course Vegapunk would find multiple ways to survive his own death. Though that doesn’t mean he will be exactly the same.

Crazy theory. But what if the guy who appeared is actually the real Shanks? In all Shnaks appearances through the series, we never see him without the coat and his eaten arm is always covered arm and never shown actually missing. What if the Real Shanks that saved Luffy and got his hand eaten was trapped somewhere, and all this time bad Shanks that never showing his left hand (because it is actually there) had a goal of making Luffy Reach JoyBoy state and etc. That is why he always delayes the meeting with Luffy, even when he is near, because Luffy will probably hug Shanks and realises that his hand is there.
Or what if this is just... Shanks. Who has some reason. And that's it. Did I miss some definite proof that there is a second Shanks?
@@derkevevin yes, this shanks doesnt have scar on his face. There was a manga panel when Shanks came to Gorosei to speak about one person, and that guy didn't have scar as well.

I agree that it's _plausible_ that Oda is hiding the scar for this reason, but it could still just be there.
@@derkevevin There were two panels where Shanks was drawn in idential pose, angle and lighting and on one picture you could see part of the scar on his other half of the face, and on Gorosei one you can't. Maybe just a mistake, but usually Oda doesnt do mistakes, especially with important characters
