This game was one of the best entries in the series. I loved the story all about religion and whatnot and the characters were great. Breath of Fire is a truly under rated series and its a shame capcom isnt making anymore.
I. Know. Right?!?! In my whole life outside the internet, I have NOT heard a single word about the Breath of Fire fandom yet BoF II's plot is one of my favorite and is probably my favorite SNES game out there.
If i EVER got the money to have BOF 2 redone, I would add the option to work for Ray to join the party at this scene. It was so friggin sad and he would've made a great addition to the team. But again like Best Ending also Ryu x Katt all day XD Man can dream boi
What you heard is part of the track 'Creeping Shadow', by Yuko Takehara. That portion begins at approximately 17 seconds in and continues in that vein to the end of the piece at 57 seconds; the section prior to that seems to be just an introduction.
Brother Ray, Claris & Tiga all in almost one scene was overbearing, which made me use way too much excessive force when I finally fought Habaruku..he didn't even last 3 rounds.
Going to remake this game when I win Power ball And those damn Crystals are going to actually mean shit for character relationships. Full Positive Ray going to see the light and join your party mid battle (late i know but screw it I hate Blue why is she in the game)
Whats that song in the end called anyone know? I did try and look for it around in youtube here but i found everything else BUT that song, it was the same about 7 years ago when i tried to look for this as a midi file aswell.. :P
yes, and afaik is the first to seriously include religion as part of the plot, at least one as complex as this one, in the snes era where everything was taboo in videogames is sad, that the only thing we got was a port of gba, which was slighty improved but the graphics were too bright.
funny as people couldn't get my sarcasm. Still, I never liked Tiga because he was a character made just for humilliate our brave hero Ryu and have a useless death after that.
this game was so underrated, the plot was really complex and expand nicely the whole "good vs evil" scheme of rpg

And we now know the move Ray used was called "Dark Punishment," the ultimate breath attack of a black dragon.
Ryu mom, Rand mom, Tiga, Ray, Claris,, 5 sacrficies counted on a single game for kids.

The background music of saddness is really touching
i actually felt a overwelming sadness when ray died because he sacrificed himself.

Poor Claris she didn’t deserve it.

This scene made me cry a bit when i first saw it ='[ This is the saddest part in Breath of Fire II ever...

Don't forget Rand's mother
I completely forgot this but now I remember my jaw was on the floor when it happened

Why is it never like that when I go to church?

i amazing how this game make use of the religion
Clean Hit is the best track in BOF2.
Ray has infinite HP. The only way to “win” is to use the G.Dragon once Ray hits you with his dragon breath.

Ha ha! Habaruku is like Fred phelps!

I became St. Eva's believer after I saw Tiga getting owned. He sooo deserved it for trying to take my Katt.

@operations1000 I know what you mean! I was so ready to beat his ass by then!
