CLARION HOTEL POST EXPANSION
The Clarion Hotel Post is a contemporary design, 4-star hotel in central Gothenburg, Sweden ideal both for conferences and weekends away. It is part of the Nordic Choice Hotels in Scandinavia. The hotel is situated at the very centre of Gothenburg and has 500 guest rooms including 21 conference room for up to 1000 participants. The stunning architecture of the old Post Office has been preserved in the main building.
In this project, Forta PRO was contracted to design, produce, deliver and assemble a new hotel extension which adds 40 guest rooms on top of the existing hotel.
Modules were designed by Forta PRO team and produced in our modern modular construction production lines. Special attention was given to quality and strength of the modules as they had to be lifted over the existing building in approximately 50m high and withstand strong winds that are characteristic to Gothenburg.
Stronger structure keeping it as light as possible, airtight finishing are just some of the techniques used to protect module and to make it strong for lifting high up.
The new hotel guest rooms were completed in the factory and shipped to Sweden.
Our teams quickly installed the new hotel room modules without limiting the ongoing hotel operation and avoiding road closure.
Now guests can enjoy Clarion Hotel Post new guest rooms, dine in the award-winning restaurants, as well as popular bars, spa and rooftop pool. The Clarion Hotel Post was voted best hotel at the Grand Travel Awards in 2019!
