I loved this fridge. we keep all dals, provisions, etc to avoid pantry pests. we do not have the privilege of harvesting the food and taking it to the kitchen. every person will have different requirements to buy a fridge. I don't think the freezer is a waste and cannot say it is a waste to buy side by side fridge. This is really useful for us to store all our food items. It depends upon the requirements of the family.

In that, only 1 part is for Freezer. Rest all refrigerator. That one part freezer, also u can convert into normal refrigerator if you want. It is very spacious.
If your referring to all the double door fridge you would be wrong because there are covertable fridge where in you can change freezer to normal fridge. In my opinion double door fridge is really really useful, buy it in the great Indian sale
