    Where do I begin... I think I will start with THANK YOU!!!
    My passenger side bulb went out and I immediatly went to you tube and found some videos I watched your video several times feeling defeated but after a while I started to gain some confidence. So... I popped the hood and sat the laptop in the middle and started to grab tools and go step by step. Long story short not only did I change the passenger side I went ahead and changed the driver side as well. I couldn't see repeating this if the driver side went out months later. Thank you for posting this video!

    My Friend, this is so helpful thank you for sharing. Right on other comments.. Why... Oh.... Why... Make it so complicated... Its like that famous quote.. Roman built the roads that lasted centuries... Then engineers arrived... Now we have pot holes... Everywhere..👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

    Can you remove the air box on the passenger side and move the silver ali pipe to get to the back of the headlight to remove the bulb or do you still have to faff around with bumper and remove headlight ? Cheers

    • @TajMotorMedics

      Hi oil change is every 12 months or 16kmiles. It’s good to carry out oil every 10/12k which keeps the oil seals inside the engine in good condition. Thanks

    Can you tell me why the headlight goes off when I use an LED lamp instead of a xenon lamp? Is there any device to encode? which would be?

  • @darrenpritchard8911
    @darrenpritchard8911 ปีที่แล้ว

    You don't have to take the bumper of. On the passenger side just reach round the back of the headlight, unscrew the bulb housing to get to the bulb. 5min job. On the other side take out the airbox to get to the headlight, a bit fiddly around ac pipe but can be done.

      It depends on the model, I found it to be impossible without loosening off the bumper, there was no screw or bracket on top of the headlamp as seen on this video on the top left, it was on the inside of the wheel arch and was a torx screw that drove me insane.

    • @bloocookie1
      @bloocookie1 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Unfortunately, that's near impossible, at least for me. I tried doing that, my hands are too big to reach inside and properly unlock the ring lock that holds the bulb in place. I think its a mix of the angle at which my hand has to go inside, and the minimal grip my fingers have to try and rotate that lock. So from my perspective, I have to take the headlight out.

    Whats the size of both high beam and low beam , i have xfs 2013 model

    • @TajMotorMedics
      @TajMotorMedics  ปีที่แล้ว

      2013 Jaguar XF typically used HID (High-Intensity Discharge) bulbs for its headlights. The specific bulb type for the Jaguar XF headlights is D3S. High beam has separate d3s as well as the low beam. Thanks 🙏🏽

  • @stuartasker532
    @stuartasker532 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    You don’t even need to take the light out. You can take cover off and get to D3s bulb easily. Takes 2 mins to change.

  • @dfor50
    @dfor50 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    What an awful design. Changing a bulb should never be so hard. Jaguar doesn't care.

    • @ianehuntingdon8957
      @ianehuntingdon8957 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@dfor50 Agree. Jaguar designers must be demented but no need to disturb bumper/valance . Do be careful not to lose the inner lower screw under the bonnet or the one under the wing otherwise it will drop down to the bottom of the balance. I usually put a small piece of electrical tape across the 10 mm socket so that the bolt is tight in the socket.

      @@raulgonzalez8459 I've been trying the exact same thing today, but to no success. I'm gonna get a ratcheting spanner tomorrow and try getting the headlight out. I think my hands are too big to fit inside the hole for the bulb, and I tried the screwdrivers but I don't want to further risk damaging it. I'm in India, and getting parts for Jags here is more infuriating than this bulb replacement process.

    It's hilarious all the moaning about changing the bulbs. Virtually all modern cars require the same procedure, and on some cheap cars -especially french ones, it's even worse, as both wheels, fender liners, whole bumper assembly and sump guard must come off. So Jaguar is not even that bad

  • @chrish8871

    Well they’re consistent, the XJ is the same, head lights have to come out to change the bulbs, so you have to remove the bumper, which means wheel arch linings have to come off which means wheels off. Except you might not be able to get the wheels off as the poxy chrome caps spun round on the wheel nuts. Wankers

  • @danhunt9195
    @danhunt9195 ปีที่แล้ว

    Why on earth would you remove the headlight ???? Only bolt you need to undo is the air box. And reach in. Talk about making money out of nothing lol
