200% over capacity on the train. If there's an accident, which is rare, there would be high fatalities.

One MAJOR thing you missed is the legal justice system. Guilty until proven innocent. Very few people are released once arrested. For you to be released someone in the justice system must lose face.

man, i walked passed those vending machines everyday for 4 years. I thought they were strange looking but I had no idea. Not surprised at all though. There a lot of seedy businesses in Kamata .... um, so I've heard

I don't know if it's true or not, but i heard that one couldn't buy a vehicle, unless one had a place to park it.

Japan is keeping inaccurate numbers of its homeless rates, like most Asian governments. As this "loses face." Well, if you're living in a Cyber Cafe you're homeless. If you are living in one of those tiny "sleeping bag rooms." You're homeless. Also I don't believe Japan's homeless numbers are correct to begin with. Still however Japan does a better job with mental/physical health than most western societies including the US.

I knew this Japanese guy who came to study in the USA. He had some signs of mental illness and anger issues. I can't help but wonder if he refused to get help in Japan and coming to the USA aggravated his mental illness due to the aggressiveness of American culture.

Another thing you missed is that while the Japanese are slowly starting to "warm up" to foreigners? What isn't true is that they are welcoming them into the greater populations of Tokyo, Akihabara, Yokohama, basically ANY of the Japanese Cities. Foreigners are often set up in basically abandoned old towns and villages in the Fuji Mountains and in the countryside. A sort of "polite social distancing". However many foreigners do find these towns welcoming among the local Japanese and they tend to "adopt" them providing you can speak the language. And the language is very difficult to learn.
Also, housing is WAY more expensive in the cities. When I was stationed at Yakota AB in Fussa City, the rent for my 1br box was about at the time was about 120K yen per month (in 2000 about 100 yen per dollar) so about 1200 a month. And the "Gaijin" rule? It's as bad as you get. It's not because they are not tolerating. In Japan even drunkenness in a bar is frowned on. And you often get a foreigner not versed in the "culture" and they get drunk and angry and tear up the place over buying a woman's "time" which in Japan is just sitting and talking to you or just to be there. They get the bill? Sadly the bartender gets the cleanup.
I could go through more, but this is just a basic start.

The homelessness in the video is far too low. The crime rate in Kabukichō is far too high, by a factor of 20, per the 2019 police crime stats. The pachinko story didn't even have a proper ending - you play, you get prizes instead of money, BUT THEN you go into the back alley store behind the pachinko parlor where you exchange the prizes for money, and the prizes you sell go back to the pachinko parlor, which runs both establishments. It's just a dodge to get around the law - people aren't playing pachinko for prizes.
