Hello Adrienne and John 💕I love all the content you put out and have since finding your channel this year. I can't quite recall how long I've been subscribed or how I found your channel but I've been hooked since then, lol.
It's always a pleasure to watch your videos from start to finish and yes I did see that video about the lady feeding the raccoons, lol. If you feed them, they will come 😆I'm sure 911 must have called wildlife control or something but I can't imagine rehome all of those critters, good grief.
You making your stuffing reminded me of Thanksgiving dinner that I recently had with my daughter's on October 14th here in Canada this year, but I spent it in Ontario and of course I had to make my dressing for them 😋 You're recipe looks delicious but quite different from mine, as I use cubed dried bread and mashed potatoes 🥔 I guess that's an east coast thing or maybe an Irish tradition passed down in my family. I really enjoyed watching you make Umami and I do believe I shall give it a try. I do not have any dehydrated tomato powder, so what can I substitute in it's place?
Hello Krista! Glad you are home safe & sound, and I pray you bring back many good, joyful, and cherished memories. Well, now I’m going to do some research on stuffing made with mashed potatoes - that sounds good! About the tomato powder, you can leave it out of course, or substitute tomato paste. Tomatoes, especially dehydrated, also have a lot of umami taste. I used a package of this mushroom umami in a batch of spaghetti, and OMGoodness, it was the best.
@@HamiltonHomestead Thanks so much. If you do some research, you may find it called "dressing" instead of stuffing. I do think New Englanders make dressing as well. I bet the umami would taste great in spaghetti 🙂
I checked out your video library and saw LOTS of videos I need to see. OMGosh, can’t wait to check out Tuscan Salami!!!! And of course your cheese making playlist is on my list. But then the Big Party playlist looks great too….. I might be up late tonight! You might enjoy the channel “Almost A Green Acre” with Krista, in New Brunswick Canada. She is a very inspiring and gracious woman, and right now she’s making Peameal Bacon….Candian Bacon, for those of us blessed to be living in the United States of America. I’m very glad to have found your channel. ~ 💞 Adrienne
@HamiltonHomestead aw thank you! So nice to *meet* you! And I'll check out her videos, we're butchering hogs here in 3 weeks, so I'll be jumping right into sausage, bacon and hams lol We are blessed indeed 🇺🇸❤️
Greetings, WildHare! Thank you for subscribing. Our mutual friend Krista, from Almost a Green Acre, gotta love that lady! She is such an inspiration, and I always feel calmer & relaxed after watching her videos. Rest assured, I’ll be checking out your channel, as soon as I reply to your fun comments!!!! My subscribers typically don’t comment very much, so I’m pretty giddy about your comments…. haha ha ha
I almost used the Umami Mushrooms (the mushroom/onion/celery medley would work too), but I had fresh mushrooms & celery that needed to be used. I'm working on that Venison video and should have it out soon!!! Thank you for watching!
Watch hours are the hardest goal to achieve. I don't know the answer. I try to help out my friends by putting their playlists on my computer while im outside doing my chores. I just don't have much time for actually watching and i have so many channels i try to support and who support me. But i do what i can😂
My honest opinion. The metrics TH-cam uses are not reasonable, and primarily benefit them vs. creating a fair & level playing field for content providers. It’s almost as though TH-cam is unfairly challenging & creating obstacles for new channels. But, I am so blessed by the content creator community that I’m just now meeting, that my focus is changing. It’s all about inspiring, learning, encouraging…. and meeting new friends. And hey! I now have a friend from New Zealand!
@@HamiltonHomestead Whoop! I had no idea that I would actually get to know care about and love other content creators. I didn't know there was community going on. It was such a wonderful surprise and bonus. I loved getting comments so I try to be generous to others with my comments.
Love this video. Never thought to freeze mushrooms. BTY you tell us you're cooking a turkey and then show us a flock of turkeys??? If I thought you were a brave hunter, I'd think you'd have hunted one.... NO, not you, but cute video!
These turkeys are hilarious! The come running from all directions to see what’s on the menu for the evening, which is mostly kitchen scraps that I lovingly mince & dice just for them.
Cooking and freezing mushrooms is one of my favorite “fast food” hacks. I often do a mushroom, celery, and onion medley, but O.M.Gosh - this mushroom, spinach, garlic & tomato blend is outstanding…. I just made spaghetti with it and it was the best ever.

Chit happens lol ! 🤣🤣

Mushrooms are my favorite flavor ❤
Me too. I nearly panic if I don’t have some form of mushrooms on the homestead. Dehydrated, frozen, fresh…I must have 2 of the 3 at all times.
@@HamiltonHomestead Absolutely!
Kitchen is CLOSED😂😂
Yep. John needs to make that sign for me. 😂
Haha You're not the racoon lady You're the Turkey Lady. I must be the Chicken Lady❤
Ok, here me go. I need to check out your channel. Thanks again for subscribing, commenting, and supporting content providers you like. 💃🏻
