Oh my yes the rock. Same over here. We have a short season too. Starting seeds in March. Just doing the survival seeds as we are still working on the cabin. We want to build a greenhouse that we can grow all year in so that'll be a big job with alot of research going into it. Happy sowing. ❤ OMG dreaming of freeze dryer too lol.

Yes, let’s get gardening!!!! 60 days to start germinating and there is lots to do to get ready. But first, Christmas. We will celebrate the birth of the King of Kings, before we enjoy the birthday of our seeds germinating.
That is really cool that you are in South Dakota! I get cabbage last year and it was fun. I love cabbage in all ways. I live on very rocky ground also so I have to grow in raised beds. I like it. I will be interested to see how all you plants do 😊
