Some of those encampment placements were a bit painful. Though not as painful as all the floating gold. Sub 12 RPM is feels bad. At full range, sub 18. The center line between the two lanes approaching the tower should all be mostly good.
Haha, that’s understandable! I have to say you are probably one of the best Rogue Tower players. Whats your background because you appear to have taken higher education?. I am currently wrapping up my MSME. Keep having fun because when you have fun we get to have fun! Thanks again.
@@Ian_Durr I went to school for Civil Engineering, though I don't put too much thought into the games when I play them and sort of wing it :D Good luck with wrapping up MSME!!
Nice to see an encampment respector! got my single lane first win on my third game from shredder, poison encampment, and ballistas invested only in armor. Also i got here through the algorithm somehow so TH-cam knows too much about my niche encampment specific tastes. great vid, keep it up!
@@Verowak i moved onto 2 and 3 to see how they were and i know for the time being, 1 is definitely my speed. but im sure I'll be up to the task after i get bored of 1 lane!
For anyone looking for pointers on encampments, encampment rate of fire (shown when you click on an encampment unit) tells you how many squares the encampment covers, and the number of mines an encampment tosses out is based on how many squares it covers. So toss encampments high up between multiple lanes, in places where they'll cover the absolute most squares possible. Note that your encampments increase their rate of fire if you place them over more squares, so you have no reason at all to place an encampment on one lane when you could be placing it between that one and another one.
I would disagree and say that if you're worried about one lane having the weaker defense, you would probably want to cover that lane instead of splitting between the two. I'm assuming the location of the mine placement is completely random, which means that the mines could land on the lane that you don't need extra mines. I have been screwed by RNG a lot so I would rather take a safer placement
@@Verowak What I mean is, you probably should have placed the encampments between the two paths leading to your tower, instead of on one side or the other, since you're not losing efficiency on one side but instead are gaining a significant amount on the other. All the units you placed on one side at the exclusion of the other had a ton of wasted potential.
@@Lycanthromancer1 oh I know what you meant, but as I said, I prefer to place them like I did to make sure one path gets focused on. I also don't min-max anything and just play the game with not much thought
How come you placed an encampment on the +6 (25 min in), which had a fire rate of 37, but then immediately demolished it and said "Yeah, thats not staying there." That was the perfect place for an encampment.
Because I wanted to focus all my fire power in the same area instead of spreading it out. Plus a lot of the mines wouldn't get used once the enemies pass those sections of the map. I also really like seeing everything get blown up at the same place :D
Never played the game and thats makes me an expert on this game 😜 you had really delicious looking towers where you could have a ballista shooting down on fastest enemies slowing them down. Or could you place encampment there? That would be a blast.
When I do ballista + other tower, I try to mostly use ballista for the House protection and focus more on the other tower. I can do ballista only so if I focus on ballista and add a few of the other tower, it doesn't seem like much of a challenge for me. For the encampments, I like to keep them near the tower so in case of an emergency, all the mines will get used up to prevent me from losing. If I place them on the towers that give +4, +5 or +6, once the enemies are out of that section, the mines are useless for the rest of the map. Just my preference in playing with encampments :D
Yeah, I'm torn on it, I don't know if I can set up a hotkey for the speed up/down, which would make it easier to speed up only when needed. I'm not a fan of having to click on the button all the time to switch speeds :(
You got encampment at lvl 5 but that banditry stole the spotlight. Relateable.
Yeah, definite better to get Banditry imo, it's just too amazing
"I still don't have encampments."
Err, you skipped them at least once...
Actually, I skipped it only once to get Banditry so I can get more gold per kill, which is a valid choice.
This is not Rogue Tower related but I found your channel last night and your voice is *SO* nice. Soothed me before bed 😴😴
Haha I'm glad I can help :D

Thanks for the speed up! Can you also enable to see what upgrades each tower has at the bottom? I don't play this game so don't know if this is a mod
It's a mod yeah, just heard about it a few days ago so will be adding it for sure!!
speed mod is definitely a needed feature in the base game.
I agree, there are usually a few stragglers that take a while to gey to the towers
Love your play throughs. Would enjoy seeing you as you play just adds personality to the game. Thanks
I can definitely do that! Some days though, it's better for me to not have camera on :D

That sounds like a solid win, good job! Will you stick to one lane a bit, or move onto 2?

Also closer to tower = more time for mines to deploy

I think Universities requiring massive amounts of money to give you a chance at success is some pretty meta commentary from the developer hahahahaha

Two path is way harder than I expected
It is! And 3 path even more! I'm not sure if solo towers are doable on 3 path, but I want to try
Nice image next to your name! Did you win a bear at an amusement park? More minefields!
The giant bear was at Costco :D I was tempted to get it
the easyest way, if mines and balistas. and university
Mines are incredibly strong yeah. I think that combo is definitely one of the best
You titled it wrong
THanks! I fixed it :)
finally!
The speeding up kind of takes away the relaxing vibe of the game :(
