THIS. THIS IS MY FAVOURITE TOMB RAIDER. God it was just perfect from start to finish. The Egyptian vibe, the massive puzzles, the beautiful scenery, and it was the first game to me that actually felt like a living breathing world and not just levels. I think the whole Egyptian theme tied in so well with The Mummy which was one of my childhood films too, which probably lent to the enchantment. This game will always be in my heart! Although... actually it wasn't perfect, that bloody awful bike in the Cairo levels just needed shooting. Who designed that?? I remember reloading the game all the time because I couldn't be bothered to spend 45 seconds reversing every time I hit a wall.
If there is a past TR title that needs a remake then this the one because the exploration, the archeological sites, the Egyptian legends and mythology and Lara’s backstory combine to make this game excellent….

you really feel the difference. nowadays you would get 1million "tips" ingame to how a puzzle gets solved. back then its either find out yourself or you're screwed

But I still absolutely loved it, spent days playing it. There were so many dead ends, which are not explored in this walkthrough, I remember very well, when I got somewhere, how happy I was, only to discover later that I did not advance anywhere. The puzzles were insane. I totally missed the keys around 4:37:00, the game actually allowed me to proceed further without them, and that was the end for me. But I am happy to see the solution finally :)
Video quality is nice and authentic I like the fact that you disabled the AA to make images look sharp. I really like it. But why did you use handgun pistols and not other weapons? And I noticed you didn't use flare in the dark...
5:59:55 - You didn't take Pharos Pillar in 'The Lost Library' level. And also you didn't find Von Croy's glasses. But in 5:59:55 we can see both. How is it possible? A lot is missing in The Lost Library level. I didn't understand honestly.
Have the games graphics got better in the last twenty odd years? But has that initial wonder at being able to move a little figure on the screen gone? sadly it has.

I'd love this either copied into a ps5 with a bigger engine and UE textures but even this game remastered with new textures and a model of Lara that looks identical to the cutscenes would be amazing.

this was the perfect blend of insane puzzle rooms and occcasional enemies. mixed with great scenery and good graphics, at the time,.
