I doubt anyone will see this comment but the song has a special place to me. I found this song years later because of a silly game I was playing with a bunch of friends. When the game finished, it played the cover of it and I felt so nostalgic. Unfortunately I missed the part where it said the song name but only who sung it. I asked friends but they had also missed it. After a ton of rush, they helped me find it. I listened to the beatles version but it didnt bring me the nostalgia I thought it would. I found this after a while of searching. My older sister would open this while we ate dinner and at the time I didn't like it. I just remembered a few parts of the clip back then. Now, she's studying abroad and I'm here reminiscing about her. I miss the times where everything was simple and the time where I got angry at a simple song and not the world. I'll talk to my sister after this.
Dakota Fanning--even at this young age--brings a magical element of purity and genuineness to this song. This video wouldn't be the same without her...
And you can also say that there are very few covers that would ever have been made at all (none actually) if not for the original version (put that under "STATING the OBVIOUS" but it gets the point across --- the point being, that it's easier to add make-up to the essence of what lies beneath --- it is easy to make something prettier or more aesthetically pleasing. What is _not_ easy, is having the imagination or talent to come up with the original idea to begin with --- that is true art and creativity.
I've seen him play live and when he hit the keys at his piano and sang those first notes for the first time I was blown away. Incredible voice, man and talent. Acoustically he's brilliant.
